It's an amazing event, lots of hills, plenty of fancy dress - done it twice before and very tempted to go again this year!

Don't think I've ever seen a lycra clad cyclist on a pavement, pavement cyclists tend to be those on mountain bikes or those less confident to cycle on the road. My survey concludes that all people who generalise about cyclists are ignorant ***** who are unlikely to be persuaded otherwise!

Can't recommend x-talon's enough but if it's just xc and there isn't any stones/path on the courses then spikes would be better and cheaper

Anyone got any experience of planetx bikes, I'm tempted by the London road (either SRAM rival 1 or the SL force1, if the medium frame is big enough for me as height wise I'm between the medium and large). Will be used almost exclusively for commuting and will replace a 7 year old entry level...

Prefer the southerns when they are in stammer park. Done too many excessively muddy xc races on parliament hill over the years.

No need to worry about your position, my fast times are all from before children arrived, I don't have the time for that level of training and competition any more, mostly stick to XC

Came 2nd (the rugby was on which kept a lot of the competition away!)

Finally got over my it injury and managed to get out for a few runs including some cross country and a 19:50 parkrun, can someone update the table to show that I have actually run this year?!

Our plumber installed a Honeywell wireless thermostat, has an app and works with Alexa. Pretty happy with it, especially as it still works after spilling a pint over the controller!

My employer just cancelled my leaving drinks due to the extreme weather, like we aren't all still going to the pub after work to get pissed!

I'm not necessarily wanting to get it done on the cheap I just don't want to pay massively over the odds.
