It's been remarkable. Kev Green has done a great job in building the squad and it's togetherness. We have two players from Whitehawk, Nathan Cooper and Harry Shooman, who have really raised standards and expectation. It's a pleasure watching them - not least because they are so evidently...
If anyone takes the money then fine, take the money. We all have our lines and draw them when we want to draw them.
But don’t take the money then try to play some kind of victim. Just be honest.
Cheers both. The next week could be interesting. I hope the team keep focused for Little Common on Saturday. Behind the scenes will be a lot of head scratching.
An absolutely classic night of FA Cup football at the Shooting Field. Opposition in Hadley FC from a higher step (oldest club in Barnet) hoping that in a replay that will count. Over 250 in attendance. Steyning led three times, but were only pegged back twice. A late penalty settling it.

We can all be hypocritical - but I don't see a training camp in Dubai the same as taking the Saudi Blood money. If you do - fair enough. This is a free country.
Is missing payments "human rights"? I am not fooled by nice hotels - I have no interest. I don't know a lot about Dubai - but I read what goes on in Saudi regarding executions and prison terms and the way they have exported their version of Islam. I would rather have nothing to do with it. Dubai...
But the club shouldn't be accused of double standards based on the possible thinking of "people" should they? That would make no sense to me. The charge would have to be more specific than that. Otherwise it is best to ignore.
Just take the money mate. Why need to feel good about it as well.
It's a national embarrassment that he's effectively retired and then gets selected for an England squad.
And the winner of the BIG game at Shooting Field tomorrow (Tuesday evening) is at home to Maidstone United. If you fancy some FA Cup football come along to Steyning tomorrow night for the replay with Hadley FC. Details here. It should be a really good game.
And these cup runs (particularly the FA Cup) can make such a massive difference to the finances. Steyning are still in but away to Hadley FC (the oldest club in Barnet) who are a step above. Tough task.
It really is. It needs sweeping twice a week - and has a bounce test every season - and needs resurfacing every seven years ..... but at our club the pitch is used for training for all teams (we have 31 affiliated teams/age-groups) and is in use every weekend, all weekend, and every evening. And...
Amazing first half at Steyning yesterday morning against Haywards Heath hoping to be just briefly visiting the SCFL. In the first 30 minutes Steyning scored four good goals and missed a penalty. The Heath keeper dislocated a finger making the penalty save - and an outfield player took his place...
At Shooting Field last Saturday for the FA Cup tie between Steyning and Peacehaven. Steyning continued their fine early season form with a deserved 3-0 win over a decent Peacehaven team who were frustrated at their inability to get into the game. Arundel away tonight in the RUR Cup (RUR stands...
I take no notice that the landlord is a Palace fan. The Royal Oak on Wineham Lane is one of the best pubs in Sussex. I can see it might be a bit cliquey but we tend to visit on bikes and sit outside. When we have eaten there it's always been good, and the beer is straight from the barrel and is...
