Colwill did allow Dunk to play on the right. I suppose.
Generally I much prefer our own players, even if they are not quite so good (which as you say might not even be the case in JVP v Colwill).
I have not seen the booking - so my view is not clouded by actual events (let alone FA Cup glory). I just do not see why a team taking a goal kick has to wait to see how the opposition are setting up their press. I understood the manager to say that if they set up in one way, then another, the...
I might be remembering this incorrectly (not the first time tbh) but when we played Leeds in an evening game at home in the early days at the Amex (CMS scored!) - I think Ankergren didn't kick a goal-kick long all game. Until injury time when he hoofed it and it came straight back and Leeds...
I am not sure we should all wait while the keeper decides which centre-back to pass to. If the keeper can't make his mind up in a reasonable length of time then hoofing it may be the best bet. All fine margins I am sure - but I am not criticising refs for clamping down on what they see as...
There is an amazing spirit within the squad this season - and as you saw some really good players.
However - fixture congestion could be an issue. Always a pleasure to go to Gorings Mead mind.
Cheers, well ... as you know you never make as much as it looks. 50% of the gate to Maidstone, the Bar and Kitchen is run by a third-party (linked to the club but we get nothing from any increased sales), and then cost of security and stewards, portaloos, etc means that it ends up being more a...
I wondered the same. Then gave Lamptey the benefit of the doubt. I think Pascal would have called. There was a slight hesitation that suggested it might be to Lallana - but in any event he would have seen Pascal arriving - so stopped. I am going with Pascal called. Lamptey put it into the space.
A great day at the Shooting Field against Maidstone. Off the pitch c1,200 people came through the gate (ten times usual). On the pitch we played our game, but it’s not easy against bigger, professional players. But still a great afternoon. First defeat of the season.
OK. One more. Online ticket sales stop tonight. Cash and Card on the day. Bring cash if you can. MatchDay info here.
For clubs at our level - it does not often get much bigger than this.
And did I mention there's a printed programme!
If anyone is thinking about the BIG match at Steyning on Saturday - online tickets are on sale here.
Another great result on Saturday - 7-1 at home to Little Common who we go above in the table. The Barrowmen are one of three undefeated teams in the SCFL Premier division. It's the RUR Cup v...
Emma Hayes offers her thoughts in the Guardian which I can guarantee will contain understanding above the dull "whatabout x then eh, eh" that some think provide challenge here.
And apart from being a top manager I think she is one of the best pundits out there.
