I looked at the numbers for this season. With either 'keeper we have averaged 1.66 points per game. Sanchez has conceded 1.3 goals per game, Steele 1.6.
Alexis - go with good will - you are welcome back in 8 years' time to see out your career here.
As a Brighton player you set up arguably the best ever goal in a World Cup Final.
I want to give him a "pass" on his Wembley performance. He looked to me like someone who had stayed up all night excited about playing at Wembley. His performance reminded me of playing Sunday league after a late night.
The foul on March vs Villa (Digne, I think) was incredulous too, though. And could ultimately be the one that costs us a position to a direct rival.
The Tottenham game has at least been followed by some karmic retribution for them, even though for us it felt like we were playing against South...
Gross played the pass behind him deliberately just so he would be forced to pass it back for him to dispatch his Le Tissier effort into the top corner and show Enciso how it's done. In-game learning. Sweeeeet!
Five-man flooded midfield and a surprise for Wolves who've set up to counter our verticalization. Might mean a 0-0 up to 60 mins and then Mitoma on. Japan used him well as an impact sub in the WC. (fingers crossed we don't get fxcked in the first half though!).
I really feel the Chelsea bubble has popped and they will turn into an also-ran. The Abramovich era is gone.I'm not sure on Newcastle's place at the big table yet, either - they've played it very wisely this season, but feel they have a ceiling.
No chance against the others as it stands now...
Sterling and Azpili. Sterling on loan, Azpi for single digit MMs. Sterling can re-find form in a style that suits his abilities. Azpi can cover both full back slots.
