[Albion] Gus Poyet on Sky Sports News

True. However I think fans place too much emphasis on this character trait. Charisma isn’t always necessary to create an amazing football style. Poyet managed us at the same level as Chris Hughton. The flair and charisma of CH’s team 2015-17 was on a different and much higher level to Poyet’s...

[Albion] It’s going to be Qarabag isn’t it

Would tickets really be a problem ? I can’t see many wanting to go there.

[Football] Swindon Town - 18th in League Two

Yep, Tranmere fans still talking about sneaking into the play offs. Currently one point ahead of Swindon.

[Albion] Gus Poyet on Sky Sports News

Poyet could still be manager today if he had concentrated on coaching. His achievements up until that final phase were that amazing. He has nobody else to blame but himself.

[Albion] Club Twitter/X account reach 1m

I’m glad most of those people aren’t interested in getting in the queue for tickets.

[Cricket] Test Series- England in India- January & February 2024

Results suggest otherwise; ‘Before McCullum became coach, England had won one of its previous 17 tests. Since his arrival, England has won 14 of 21 tests — many of those victories coming in breathtaking fashion.’...

[Football] The Demise of The Ticket Stub

I keep hold of my paper tickets but I’m not bothered if I don’t get one and even less so about their ultimate demise. I think I prefer the ease of the digital version. I do find it somewhat odd that we have to wait for the Albion to send out digital tickets close to the match day (or is that...

[Albion] Gus Poyet on Sky Sports News

Maybe with a little bit more subtlety than on Sky Sports News though ? I agree with pretty much every post on this thread whether pro or anti Poyet. The football was amazing. I’ll never forget the performances at Peterborough and Charlton. Nevertheless he showed a lack of respect towards Tony...

[Albion] Gus Poyet on Sky Sports News

Still advertising himself as available for work whilst under contract in his current job. I wouldn’t employ him.

[Football] Mykhaylo Mudryk has no brain!

He isn’t the only player on the books at that club and not fulfilling his potential. Surely at some point someone in the hierarchy might look at deeper seated problems than the form of one player….

    [Albion] Liverpool Away Tickets

Does Apply Pay ever work on the ticketing site ? For the previous few aways my daughter booked the tickets but I did the honours for Liverpool. I remembered from the last time that this feature didn’t work so I had my cc at the ready but it must catch a few people out.

You remember that bit about the shoplifting ?:)

    [Football] Rochdale on the brink...

There are loads of counter examples to that where clubs thrive despite local competition. Manchester has a fantastic football heritage and that’s a good thing. Bury are now playing at the same level as Ramsbottom Utd. They had never played a competitive game against each other before this season...

So you wouldn’t be keen on supporting Arsenal Kindergarten at the Charlie George Stadium in Falmer then ? Yeah, me neither.

    [Football] Rochdale on the brink...

I couldn’t disagree with you more. Football is about community, not success. If Rochdale FC can’t compete at the level they are at then they need to re-form at a lower level. A good local example is Bury who are getting very respectable crowds (average this season 3275) at Gigg Lane in the NWCFL...

    [Football] Rochdale on the brink...

Please don’t make people put this thread on ignore. The future of Rochdale FC is important to those of us who come here for the football.

    [Football] Rochdale on the brink...

Spotland is owned by the club which makes me a little wary of what price any new ‘investors’ might extract. The first priority should be securing the ground for the football club even if that means dropping down the divisions and starting again to cut costs.

[Albion] Move back to the Withdean ?

Yup, thanks :) Sold out at 9.02 but I kept clicking and kept missing odds and sods that came back online for whatever reason. At 9.28 three became available just at the point I had clicked. Joy !!!!
