[Misc] Moon Landing, are YOU are conspiracy theorist?

We don't have telescopes powerful enough (certainly on Earth) that are powerful enough to show anything other than a general area. Some of the hoax fan-boys actually think we should be able to see the hardware which the astronauts left behind. Because it can't be done, they consider this...

[Football] Should we scrap the offside rule?

I take your point, but I cannot believe nothing can be done to improve it. Even setting a time limit for a decision (say 30 seconds for a VAR review) would be better than the current situation.

[Football] Should we scrap the offside rule?

God, it would be horrendous if it was scrapped. That said, I do think the margins are way too extreme, such as a finger or toe. A few simple adjustments would be far preferable.

    [News] What do you do?

Not a clue, but I wouldn't have them on the streets again. Maybe a 'Lord of the Flies' scenario, on a faraway island.

    [News] What do you do?

Sounds easy, but after the event? I'm just horrified that such young ones have that ability within them. Hell, I was far less than a saint, but this is a level I didn't know existed at their age.

    [News] What do you do?

12 and 14 year olds accused of murder. What do you do with them? Not after a binfest - this is shocking. Any ideas? :(

[Misc] The Most You've Paid For An Event

We did pay well over the odds, but had fantastic seats for ELO - centre stage and a few rows from the front - always wanted to see them. Sadly, Covid struck and they cancelled, rather than re-arranged the date. Got a refund but was quite gutted. I'm less keen these days to pay 'silly money'.

[Misc] The Most You've Paid For An Event

A stadium gig can be excellent, if they offer 'Gold Circle' (as they used to). Sadly, there's platinum circle etc. My first experience of them was for Red Hot Chilli Peppers - fab view, plenty of room and people coming round with free wine. Superb. Similar for REM, just after the London...

I think it wasn't much more than that to see Gary Glitter there.

Best value was the Led Zep reunion in 2007 - £125.....and worth every single penny.

[Misc] The Most You've Paid For An Event

Probably the Stones at Hyde park, a few years ago. Pre-gig food and drinks at some poncy hotel near Hyde Park ( I must say, the food was exquisite), the Grandstand (not the best view at all) but free hospitality area/drinks near the stage and a night in a hotel a few mins walk away, afterwards...

[Finance] Premium Bonds - prize pool increased again - you ever have any luck?

We're slightly over that (each) but now have to take into account the zero return, this month, but we're content with around a 4% figure over the year. Fingers crossed for a big haul in October.

[Finance] Premium Bonds - prize pool increased again - you ever have any luck?

I'm really not convinced that cashing them out and buying new ones makes any difference, tbh. I'm sure that someone may be able to confirm or deny that. Besides, you also miss out on a draw, as they are entered into the following month. I'll stick with it, as it gives us a 'reasonable' return...

[Finance] Premium Bonds - prize pool increased again - you ever have any luck?

I think it's around £400 between us in an average month, so to win nothing is very unusual - in fact, it hasn't happened since we both maxed out.
