Not a great last few weeks but one of the greatest players to wear the shirt and loved seeing him play, sometimes brilliantly. A hat trick at Anfield! Was happy to do photos with kids I drag along to matches, may stay up rather late, good luck to him and thanks for the memories. I might still...

Brighton wins the World Cup gold with its transfer policy: "You have to be smarter"
Brighton had never had a World Cup finalist until Qatar. A glass ceiling that Alexis Mac Allister broke...
A player seems to stand above others from time to time. Pele, Cruyff, Maradona, Zidane, now Messi, closely followed by Ronaldo, next Mbappé. Hard to compare across generations ... 672 goals for Barcelona is pretty impressive, mind.
Do we really care more about Van Gogh’s sunflowers than real ones?

The painting was not damaged. The action is on the front pages, plenty of publicity. Good work. If you don't think this is an existential problem for all species try http://co2.earth/ or https://climate.nasa.gov/vital-signs/carbon-dioxide/
We have to find a way to stop burning the fossil fuels...
Imagine all players getting a Citizens Income (say £40k p.a.), tickets £2 on the gate with the rest of the TV money put into social projects in the community and universal CI for all.
Me too. We were incredulous. Kept thinking it would end, but it didn't. At half time I said to my guests who I'd brought along for a first outing of the season, that they'd probably never see us play a better half. Then at 60m it's 4-0 and Cristiano is laughing!
My mate was in the gents where a quick analysis of the volume of the cheers made most optimistically shake up swiftly to try to see the big screen replay!
Was that the Albion's best ever performance? Almost total dominance of Man U. 4-0! Could have been 6. Some of the interplay was phenomenal - one 5 or 6 one-touch move in the first half was jaw-dropping. I may well be suffering recency bias (!) but I don't think I've ever seen us play better...
Weirdly that 9-man Burnley game came first to my mind! The St Patrick's Day Massacre was pretty up there (OMG Lopez!) but even the sometimes somnolent East was rocking on Saturday. Special.
We will dominate the game, look a better side, but they have Cristiano, one of the world's greatest ever goalscorers. Hmmm .... I am just believing it this time ... 2-1 to the Albion. (Trossard, Welbeck; Ronaldo)
