Tempted, but no. Not even after a lovely night in the Welly and a lot of beer. For me from now on NSC = BHA and the rest takes place elsewhere. All I will say is: Adrian: we won. :)
The whole thing is a Tory unionbusting exercise with Govia used as a front. It's a fcking disgrace.
“It was clear right from the start of these talks that there was no serious intent from Govia Thameslink to engage in genuine negotiations and that their script was being written from behind...
He was so full of life on the bike ride last weekend. Said he had a bug and had thrown up, still finished hours ahead of us old pissheads...
Live life to the full. You never know.
Lovely bloke.
RIP.
It is not dry there at the mo. Still, if weather puts you off, you shouldn't be going! I'll be flying the Albion flag in the Cabaret and Poetry & Words tents as ever :)
Calde, you absolute star. In the real sense of the word. He obviously wants to stay in Brighton, and loads of us want him to. He'd be a HERO at Whitehawk, and could carry on doing community stuff in the city too. Equally, a bit of a commute would get him to a higher level than the Hawks, though...
Life goes on. Those of a punk/real ale disposition probably know about Glastonwick already, but I thought I'd post this year's line up here. Get pissed, celebrate a great season and insult two appalling refereeing decisions with us at our 21st Beer, Music, Poetry and More Beer Festival at...
A fantastically enjoyable season. Of course we're gutted. I am personally more gutted than an entire refrigerated lorry full of plaice fillets.
But the wonderful football and the obvious team spirit and commitment to the cause from the players (a joy to see in this age of overpaid prima...
There are many occasions when i have been very proud to be a Brighton fan and last night was another. Fantastic, non stop backing for players who cared as much as we did, in the face of ridiculous bad luck. And thanks to NSK Tony for the streamer. Haven't chucked one of those for years :)
Of course, this is only the first step. The second is to prosecute the people responsible, not just for Hillsborough but for similiar lies and cover ups at Orgreave. But that is a different poem. (It's called 'Never Forget' and I posted it here a while ago.)
Perspective, that's what this one is...
THE LEPPINGS LANE END
So thankyou, M*** D***, for destroying our dream
From now on you’re loathed by this scribe
That dreadful decision deserves such derision
I’m amazed that it wasn’t a bribe….
Today, Hillsborough bound, a thought came around
Which is why this verse came to be penned
The...
IT'S A KNOCKAERT
He's from the Flemish bit of France
Round your defenders he will dance
Look - he's just made another chance
Who's that? It's a Knockaert!
He goes that way, then he goes this
We're cheering while he takes the piss
Just watching him is football bliss
Who's that? It's a...
JUSTICE for the 96. AT LAST. Fans unlawfully killed. Lying police, lying press. Evil calumny on Liverpool fans, the city, the people. Evil calumny on football fans in general. Taylor Report a disgusting Thatcherite stitch up. We want our terraces back.
Come on Boro. Beat Burnley tonight, win the Championship with a game to spare, then have your end of season promotion party on the evening of Friday May 6th. We'll throw in a few crates of Thunderbird, White Lightning and Carlsberg Special Brew to get you started. Oh, and make sure it goes on...
We know how important this game is, but we simply MUST remember our history here.
Support the Charlton fans' protest 100% because it is the right thing to do. Win the match.
And that support will hopefully ensure full backing from them for a fired-up Charlton to do their best to take 3 points...
Thanks to all those who put money in my cycle helmet towards the June AITC Brussels challenge ride last night. Came home with a helmet full of shrapnel. :)
Here's Calde's poem.
Berak markatzen du bere aurpegiarekin
(He scores with his face)
FOR CALDE
Now this is modern football. Murdoch...
Afternoon all.
Spent many years cycling to home games and lots of different pubs but this is the big one....
June 10-13, 235 miles, 3 days.
Great cause. Sponsors welcome :)

Seems to me that the current fiasco is actually worse than being in the Premier League, since more games are pre-planned earlier in the season around the obvious big four. Better get promotion then :)
Couldn't agree more. Want the Albion to win every game, so obviously want promotion. But love the levelish playing field of the Championship, and dread the lottery of kick off times which will more or less end more than 30 years of organising my gigs around the fixture list (already increasingly...
