Greg Bobkin can be tracked here https://track.rtrt.me/e/IRM-WALES-2018#/tracker/RNYKMAC8
He’s just got a third of the way through marathon - estimated finish time 10:23
fantastic effort!!
Great city to visit - hire bikes and cycle along the park that was the old river bed before they diverted it around the city (can you imagine the response when that was first suggested at a council meeting?!) then visit the science museum and aquarium. Lunch at the aquarium restaurant is fun -...
Agree - thought it was extortionate pricing and the afternoon performance looked to be only about 60% full
We sat in the cheap seats (which of course were significantly cheaper than my usual Saturday afternoon seats)
Yes - really enjoyed it. Was surprised that so few kids there.
Great that the whole audience stayed until the credits finished to listen to the orchestra play.
Best of luck to Greg Bobkin tomorrow - sounds like you have trained really well so go out and enjoy it!
Will this make you the thread’s first iron man?
No I joined the fab goup but I’m nearly always working in London on Tuesdays and Thursdays so never made it. I hear lots of good things about them though.
This is my favourite run and at 10 miles starting from Ditchling Beacon should be just the ticket.

good mixture of terrain and stunning views. You must touch the trig point at Black Cap both ways and the gate at the bottom of Lewes old race course.
Popped over to Peacehaven this morning- I do like that course especially on a sunny day. Legs a bit heavy after yesterday but came in 16th of 101 in 23:15. Thought that was a slow time but only 6 seconds off a PB there.
Off for a week’s holiday tomorrow and a complete break from running for a...
17 miles or so today - had to get the LSR in before going on holiday on Sunday.
Is there a NSC bevendean outing tomorrow? Not decided on whether I should bag anothe Sussex PR - East Grinstrad possibly
Could have been guitar - in fact definitely was later on - was he switching between the two?
I can’t imagine how they’d sound without the keyboardist - isnt most of it coming from him? And finally, how does the drummer keep going like that for ninety minutes? Was he really Obelix the Gaul and...
Just saw the incredible Follakzoid at Sticky Mikes. A 90 min set of one unbroken ‘song’ although I heard snatches of different tracks in there. Played at ear splitting volume with a cross dressing bassist in bra and tights.
Chilean psych rock at its best.
I did the first Amex Christmas 5k - we were led by Gully who took us the wrong way and we all ended up running down a road with traffic on it! So I don’t think that will be much of a guide. I do still have the medal!
I’m away for this event too.
Saw then this afternoon at airbourne - have to admit I didn’t realise they did more than the ‘basic’ fly past.
Dumb question- how far apart are they actually when they a) fly in formation and b) fly past each other nose to nose?
13 the Hard Way this morning. First of all great to see dazzer6666 who was taking on the full 30 mile event. The shorter 13.8 miles course truly lived up to its name - the first climb is a killer and it was a long hard slog into the wind on the way back. Great event though. Finished in 2:10 no...
Well done - I saw a good photo of you probably in second place behind one of our club runners - he ran 17:33 at the Prom last wekk do no disgrace coming in behind him.
