Quick heads up, a friend of mine who is currently being treated for breast cancer is organising a Macmillan coffee and cake sale morning after Hove Prom Park Run on Saturday. Weather looks good on Saturday so it would be great if any of the NSC parkrun contingent can support.
Maybe a good...
6:22 pace - by my calculations that’s something like 19:45 for 5k. Seems quite a step up for a 21min + group even at shorter intervals? Great effort to keep up.
Hate that when people sprint away on the last interval - not supportive of others and says they were in too slow a group to me.
Thanks - good to see you too. 21:33 best time at Hove Park for over 18 months but not quite beating my SB set at Hove Prom earlier this year.
Good to see someone in the 65-69 bracket ran 18:47 for an AG over 90%. - hope for us yet!
Ran the Goodwood Runing Grand Prix this morning 20 mile event essentially eight laps of the car racing circuit. Treated as a training run and finished in 3:05 which I am very happy with as I really just wanted to get the distance after a couple of dodgy weeks running.
Strange event as there are...
Anyone up for Hove Park tomorrow?
On Sunday I am going to Goodwood for the 'Running Grand Prix' https://www.runninggrandprix.com/
There's a range of distances up to marathon run around the motor racing circuit. I just need a 20 mile training run but thought this would be more fun than a solo...
Don’t forget Hove Prom has both walk and walk/jog pacers for those who do not want to run the full 5k. Also nothing to stop you from turning up at a park run and doing part of the course e.g. one lap of Hove Park (1.8km) you won’t get a time of course but you do get the encouragement of...
Brilliant write up Greg Bobkin - saw it earlier but saved it for the commute home. Definite hero status.
Look forward to catching up soon even if Parkrun is well, a walk in the park for you now.
That's a bugger - if you want a positive spin - you'll make that £70 back in a couple of meals in Turkey, or as another example of how cheap it is....taxi from Hove to Gatwick £40 for 30 min journey, later that day taxi transfer in Turkey, two hour journey - less than £30 - including...
This. Was there two weeks ago. Do it in advance or you may have to queue up twice at the airport.
Good news is Turkey is incredibly cheap at the moment - a decent 3 course meal with a couple of drinks and coffee won’t set you back more than a tenner.
