Welcome too. - everything dazzer says above plus, and I always say it, get a gym routine going around core and leg strength to prevent injuries - preferably get a Trainer who knows something about running to advise on this. Yoga is always a good thing too - not that I’ve ever done it!

21:52 and 22:47 for me this morning - felt really tired for the latter run at Hove Park - must have been that effort of towing soistes to a pb on the Prom - Congratulations and thanks for not mentioning you overtook me knocky1-style with 200 yards to go!
Amazing numbers this morning (or is it...
A quick check shows I’m at 981.3 miles for the year - can I be bothered to run 18.7 miles today? In a word - No!
I have entered Three Forts in May though so now have a target to aim for.
Happy New Year to all on the best thread on NSC and see you at the parkruns tomorrow.
Yes! At last I get to say ‘can someone update the table please’! 21:01 at Worthing this morning, good conditions but hampered by a cold - absolutely delighted to set an SB by 28 seconds - felt its been coming for a while and suddenly the breakthrough happens. Best time since 17 December 2016!!!
Saw the Farmers Boys many times - part of the ‘Norwich scene’ along with The Higsons. Lead singer used to have a Casio organ on an ironing board. I also have their giveaway postcard somewhere - The Joy of Cress - featuring several cress action shots if I remember correctly
Preston Park tomorrow for me - hope to see some of you there.
Thankfully , others are more expert on the dreaded plantar fasciitis than me but I believe it goes - don’t run, roll your foot on a tennis ball/golf ball/frozen water bottle. Consider plenty of calf stretching/rolling. When you are...
Not quite, 21:37. A good run though and maybe if I’d started nearer the front I would have got an SB. Pleased with that and if weather is good on Saturday may look for a flatter run.
No PBs this year but highlights were thoroughly enjoying Brighton and Budapest marathons and finishing both in sub 4 hours and completing the Three Peaks in glorious summer weather (remember that?) and feeling so fortunate to have clear views from all three summits. All in all really enjoyed my...
Bit of shout out for Block Bar in St James St. we wanted somewhere simple to eat and have a beer before going to the Concorde 2 last night. Wishing to avoid pubs full of Christmas parties took a punt on this place after looking at the menu on line.
Decent beers and really nice burgers from a...
It was rotten - the mulled wine was good afterwards though. My km splits alternated between 4:15 and 4:50 because of the wind! 13th for me in 22:21, second in age category, no idea who was first ;-)
A couple of hundred available now - mine just warned it was uncovered rather than restricted view . Row E block P5 should not be too bad if a bit low down.
Yes I’m going for trail shoes - suspect the bit down to the farm will be treacherous but it’s a difficult call as a fair proportion is on road or decent paths. See you in the morning.
Downland Devil for big nuts and me this morning. Tough nine miles off road . Happy enough with 1:19 (only 4 mins down on 4 years ago in worse conditions) and 75th out of 250. I’ll let the big man report on his somewhat better result.
