Surprised so many have mentioned Enciso. He's scored some great goals and is an exciting young talent, but he's also been absolute dross in some games. I guess it's easy to forget that when he hasn't played for ages. No way would I have in my absolute must-win first XI.
I agree 4-1 is a thrashing. It’s better than 3-0 which is a proper beating, but I’m not sure it is a ‘thrashing’. 4-1 is, that extra goal matters because it makes the consolation seem a bit pathetic, and not worth the effort.
Chelsea. Everything that is wrong with football. Palace are fairly similar to us really, just poorly run in current times. I still ‘hate’ them through the rivalry, but it’s just pantomime stuff. I hate what Chelsea did, and continue to do to football. They’ve ruined the game.
I would far, far...
Problem is, the second part isn’t correct. This is football, it isn’t like any other industry on the planet. A big club will take a chance on him, he has no need to prove anything else. We will lose him in the Summer because he wants more ready-made 1st team players than we are prepared to...
Chelsea are a temporary annoyance, which I imagine is exactly how they see us. To claim they are our rivals is ludicrous. They are the new Leyton Orient, not the new Palace. We have some temporary beef with them, nothing more.
There are very few people I hate in this world. Scott McGleish maybe. I’ll happily sing ‘We hate Palace’ but my friend and business partner is a Palace fan. I don’t hate him. In fact I’d far rather have a beer and talk football with him than a Sussex based Man Utd ‘fan’. But I can HATE him /...
Sometimes when we go horribly wrong after RDZ, the next game we come flying back and batter someone.
Have I just made that up or do the stats back it up?
Will always remember him getting booked for something and in the deathly silence of the West stand some frustrated voice shouting “Oh come on ref! You can’t book him for being crap!”
Comedy genius, will remember that forever.
Think he's better than that personally. International class centre back, without being world class. Is amazingly consistent and rarely (until this season) gets injured. That's higher than B/B+ in my book.
Any chance of this going down to STH, do we think? Is the capacity higher as I think their capacity has been increased? We also play away in Europe 3 days later, which is surely going to put some people off if they are going there.
It is odd his performances don't seem to be affected by it. Usually when this stuff comes out about someone it all suddenly makes sense why they haven't been their usual selves on the pitch.
The idea that humans can somehow 'destroy the planet' by being a bit grubby for a hundred years or so is absolutely laughable. The planet has been bombarded with apocalyptic-sized asteroids and comets for billions and billions of years. It's been through freezing and warming and huge extinction...
I'm not convinced about this. The Japanese that fly to Brighton from Japan to watch Mitoma, yes. But there are plenty of local Japanese watching us. Can't see them giving up the second we lose Mitoma.
