Good man. He’s going to be dining out on this for a long time. I feel for the other guy who doesn’t have new-found Albion celebrity status. His ordeal seems for nothing. Unlike @jackalbion who has been elevated to Brighton royalty.
Can't understand people saying they aren't fussed about the Conference league. Have we really become that entitled after one season in Europe?
We would be favourites to win that competition. Ask a West Ham fan about how bothered they were about it...
In my opinion.
Having seen the levels of Roma last night, it is highly unlikely that we were ever going to win the Europa League. If we played at our best we could win a 2-legged tie against a side like that, but 3 times in a row? And then a final against Liverpool or someone? It was never...
I don't think he did in this interview, I thought he was very fair. I also suspect Barbs has has a word with him about what he says in them recently. But he definitely has indirectly called out Bloom recently about transfer policy.
I think if no big club comes in for RDZ, which they may well not do, then maybe Bloom can get him to commit to a new contract with some serious squad strengthening. If that could happen we could be in for the best season we've ever had. I do think it's unlikely though.
He is a funny keeper, Steele. He makes some good saves but for me he concedes a lot of goals that would be harsh to say were his fault, but that a top-class keeper would probably save. He's great with his feet, but if you look at the levels of some of our players (Dunk, Mitoma, Gross etc) then...
I can't really see how it's possible to argue that it isn't. You could maybe claim the Wigan game was the game that enabled all this so that was bigger, but we we would have just gone up the next game if we hadn't have won that, so it doesn't really count. Hereford is probably the biggest...
Indeed. This week the kid who stabbed that other kid on Queens Road last year was convicted, and it turned out the chap that died had a £20K drug debt and was down from Croydon that day to appear in court in Brighton. That is in absolutely no way comparable to an Albion fan getting an unprovoked...
I think we kind of do as football fans. Which is probably partly why ours are finding issues in Europe. We have a completely inexperienced fanbase when it comes to these kind of fixtures.
I'm sorry, but that is complete rubbish. When is the last time an opposition football fan was stabbed in Brighton? Foreign football fans get stabbed around Roma games literally all the time. It is not comparable in any way at all.
Are there any moderate Trump supporters? People that on the balance of the two candidates think he is a better option than Biden and can articulate why? (Apart from the ‘Biden has dementia’ brigade).
Do these people exist? I’d like to hear from them.
Who still answers their telephone by stating their phone number?
And if not, when did this die out?
I don't think anyone has ever done it with a mobile phone, unless they were a complete maniac. But when did people stop doing it with landlines, and why? Or why did they do it in the first...
Pretty much spot on, I think. As @Kinky Gerbil says though, it could destroy the domestic league if it isn't done right. TV companies won't pay the money for the non-Big 6 clubs. Maybe them running two teams is the answer.
He looks like someone who has just had an absolute bollocking.
And repeating “We must not lose confidence” over and over again sounds like someone who has completely lost confidence.
It can’t do his career prospects much good either. I would not be hiring a Coach that I thought would publicly criticise my decisions if he started losing!
We’re 7th in the Premier League and in the last 16 in Europe, we’ve beaten Ajax twice and are unbeaten in two game against Marseille, and battered Palace 4-1 in one of the most one-sided games we’ve ever had against them, all in probably the worst injury crisis in the club’s history. I think to...
