So much this. I don’t do much driving these days, but was purple with rage yesterday on multiple occasions about the number of middle lane hogs on an empty motorway. Undertake, or pull all the way from lane 1 from lane 3 to pass? Infuriating.
Interesting quote from Howard Webb on the BBC about a similar incident in the Wolves v Luton game.
“Wolves midfielder Joao Gomes handled in the box when the ball caught his arm which was above his head, but only after it had deflected off his boot.
The decision was upheld by the VAR team and...
Also on route from Nice to Marseille in a Flixbus that was meant to depart the airport at 5am but finally rocked up at 6.10am. Luckily I have time to spare, hopefully those on later buses find things more punctual!
I agree, could be tight. My back-up plan is a very expensive Uber from Marseille to Nice airport!
My flight to Heathrow leaves 7:55am and I don’t think there’s another form of transport that gets me there on time. Couldn’t get Friday off work unfortunately.
Need to be on the very early flight out of Nice on Friday morning, so have booked a seat on the Flix bus leaving Marseilles at 11pm after the game. Will depend on how long we get held at the ground as to whether I get to the central bus station in time - I think it’s about 20 mins walk from La...
Used it for the first time on Saturday and was pretty impressed. Stayed until the end of the game, the queue to get on the return bus moved quickly, and no queue to exit the car park.
Never seen the sport before, but watching England just win the Rugby League Wheelchair World Cup Final on BBC2 was utterly brilliant. The game had everything, very emotional. Catch a replay if you can.
Thanks all for the helpful advice. Threats of involving the ombudsman etc. have 'encouraged' them to drop their requirement to see evidence of my mothers medical history, and they have processed the discontinuation of the plan with immediate effect. Appreciate everyone that took the time and...
She did have a DD but I cancelled it. So they are not actually taking £10 a month, but they are continuing to ask for it, now through a debt recovery company. The issue lies with the fact I can't cancel the plan because I am not the account holder, even though I have provided evidence of the...
My mum has a worsening dementia condition, and recently we had to move her into a care home. I've spent the last few weeks cancelling various things - Sky, council tax, utilities etc - most of which have been simple to do and handled with compassion. The one fly in the ointment has been her pay...
Angsana Laguna was great for kids - ours are 18 and 11 and they both loved it. Great pools and a good variety of restaurants, and right on the beach.
Just to say about Elephant Hills - the actual elephant experience makes up only a very small part of the two days (the interaction lasts about 90...
Got back from Thailand yesterday - 9 nights in Phuket (Angsana Laguna), two nights at Elephant Hills, two nights in Bangkok. It is a lot of travelling but an amazing experience in each of the locations. You’ll love it.
