I am in agreement with this. Casual fans by name and nature. If you put hoops up in front of them they will say 'ahh f*** it' and go down the pub instead.

What a load of tosh. 'Madchester' was great fun. The Charlatans, they were f***ing ace until they turned into Stones clones four albums in. There was an awful lot of great music coming out of Manchester in the 80s & 90s.
