In every stadium with a good atmosphere there is a nucleus of singers who lead the way and others join-in. NSK don't tend to sing the basic songs that could be taken-up more generally round the ground. They sing clever little ditties for their own amusement often in direct conflict with other...
No I'm sorry, from WSU on the half way line the Forest fans were loud. I could just about hear the NSK under the police box, but they persist in singing bollox that nobody else joins in with. The bunch under the screen in NS were asleep...
Correct; it's like "this is our special little song and we don't actually care if anybody else to joins in". Well the problem is NSK is that these daft little songs don't spread; it would be far better if you just shouted "ALBION...ALBION.." for 90 minutes because at least it would get some...
I agree, that bunch under the police box do make the effort, though they often sing odd ditties that do not spread. In WSU I'm dying to join in with them but they're always singing that "Sussex boys in white and blue" thing which is pretty naff. Then there is a big dead-zone between them and...
As usual, queuing for a stupid amount of time for a Brighton bound train after the match leads to friction building and it was close to kicking-off with Forest fans tonight. Not a great night... cr@p finishing by the team, cr@p public transport, and cr@p singing from the NS...
For gawd's sake lets try something different up front! The opposition will be totally familiar with what Danny has to offer and how to defend against him, surely we have to pose them some problems they're not expecting...
I don't want to be uncharitable because they actually got off their @rses and did something, but yes the timing was wrong. Hopefully they get it right next time...
I dunno, this is so flouncy it just doesn't sound authentic; 252 posts since 2012...hmmmm. All that stuff about our fanbase changing? We've always been a bunch of gits. I don't recall hearing any boos in WSU and frankly if there were some he deserved it for smashing McAllister.
I don't know why you are getting so passionate about this; he will probably at best get a substitute appearance, and secondly this is Brighton and Hove Albion which is not noted for having a huge number of knuckle dragging fans. If he comes on he'll get a polite clap but unlikely a shout of...
Sadly it's going to take a major drop in attendances for a prolonged period before anything will change. The global TV audience are way more important to club balance sheets than us who actually attend. But the product that the Premier League sell will reduce in value if empty seats are...
Well done to those who got this together... nice work and it should look great. I presume there will be more to follow and I'd be happy to chip-in for the next one.
I saw a lot of aggro with Chelsea fans in the train queue after the match, climbing the barrier to attack Albion fans and scaring the hell out of the families and kids they were barging out of the way. They seem to have a bigger proportion of d1ckheads than most clubs…
Sometimes change has to be embraced to avoid stagnation, and the NS has stagnated. If managed appropriately and people treated reasonably then they should respond reasonably. Give notice of the section that will become safe-standing and offer to re-locate those who prefer not to stand to...
Make a big NS safe standing section in the middle between the police box and the screen (currently the dead zone) and ask those who want to stand and sing to re-locate there.
Far too bleedin' obvious so it will never happen...
