The last time we went up to the big time - favourite song of 1979

I was doing A levels that year too - remember breaking from revision for the Easter programme of games, 3 in 4 days - wins at home to Charlton and Bristol Rovers, and what looked at the tiime to be a costly loss at Cardiff.

The last time we went up to the big time - favourite song of 1979

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lTFHXKVQJqc Released in 78, but very much a song of that promotion season - live version from '79. Saw them live that year at the Marquee (I think) - long time ago!

    Paul Whelch RIP

The amount of work he got through on behalf of us all and the club was outstanding. Tenacious and committed. Aside from the war years and then Withdean and Falmer campaigns, there were those extras he felt he had to do. Why the litter patrol? Because no one else will likely do it, so I must was...

Albion vs Darlington 3rd December 1996 Roll Call.

I was there. Front row of the west stand, my usual season ticket seat, and pretty much in front of the Directors box. In the video I'm stood up, back to pitch, arms aloft, yelling at him when he suddenly legs it. Wow I thought, only to to turn and see the cavalry coming across the pitch. The...

BARNSLEY. What on earth are they doing?

I was at that game, we scored first, and they bombarded us. Awful night, grim watching. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

*What are YOU most OUTRAGED about today ?*

Outrageous - it also kicks off at 11.45am for me. Bit too early for a boozy lunch. We should start a petition to get the start time put back to say 3pm. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Paul Whelch

I also recall Paul from SOL meetings and away trips with SOL. Let's hope he makes a full and speedy recovery. As others have said Paul worked tirelessly for the cause and was a real thorn in the side of Bellotti and Archer. As I was also London based I joined Paul in some of the London based...

Why didn't she use the BA miles to JFK? Would avoid the two cities/countries scenario. Maybe just fly direct to Colorado with her sister...... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Getting from Toronto to Buffalo

What a tragic mess of travel arranging. Too many scenarios being accommodated, or attempting to be accommodated. I think you going to have to quickly decide which is more important, time or cost, then pick the travel mode. And if it's time you are stuck with the one way drop. I feel your pain...

Did your Mum and Dad used to take you on dubious holiday visits?

Blimey, not too many mention of Clyde Steamers on this site...We went on family holidays to Dunoon and Rothesay. Many years in a row. Dad was a Clyde Steamer fan!! Recall the Duchess of Hamilton, Duchess of Montrose, JeannieJeans, the various car ferries, and of course the still sailing Waverley...

For all those with either a positive or negative opinion of Donald Trump

I doubt he knows or cares. Much of what he says and does is not core value for the GOP. A good number of Republicans want him out and are appalled by the long term ramifications of his bid. That said I don't see them withdrawing his nomination. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
