I don't even want to know what Hurzeler's teams' record against sides that park the bus looks like.
I just want to BELIEVE that it's great and that we'll SMASH Everton and make the northern dalek cry into his hotpot.
I would love, it LOVE IT.
They can, but they will be restricted to the company's interpretation of legitimate as set out by their expense policy.
If you are working via your own ltd company, you are going to take a more favourable view on what you allow yourself to claim as an expense* than if you are employed and...
To counter that a little, they will likely be putting a lot of expenses through the business (before tax) which an 'employee' would not be able to do, but are effectively paying for some things with untaxed money that they otherwise would have bought with the own 'personal' money (after tax)...
I bet Lineker gets his SkySports subscription on expenses and just think of all the snacks in the green room. He'll even get his hair cut by hair & make-up FOR FREE.
Burn him!
Sorry for your loss @Greg Bobkin
You know this already, but I'm sure it won't harm to hear it again: it was the right thing to do and the kind thing to do. More suffering wouldn't have been fair on anyone, but taking that hard decision has saved him pain.
We've had a cockapoo for 7 years now...
Indeed. Probably not even Argentina's biggest shock defeat... I'd say the defeat to Saudi Arabia in Qatar was bigger.
North Korea beating Italy in '66 was also HUGE
How about Sri Lanka winning the cricket WC in '96?
They beat India (in Delhi) in the group stage, England in the quarters, then India again in the semi.
107 from Aravinda de Silva (what a player he was) helped see off the Aussies by 7 wickets and with about 4 overs to spare.
It's sad to see...
Am I reading this right and what you're saying is that (in the US) anyone who votes for a woman, a person of colour or a gay man/woman is 'woke'? "Non-wokes" will just vote for a white straight guy?
I haven't really caught up on this thread, so I hope I am being whooshed.
The obvious thing to...
I voted £30m, which I take as including add-ons.
Some transfer 'value' is attributed to physical properties. WBG isn't blessed with pace or a muscular physique.
Some is attributed to raw potential. Sure, he's still young, but the football world has had enough of a look at him to know he's not...
I'd be surprised if any sell-on clause Chelsea inserted doesn't stipulate that they are due a percentage of all profit (I.e. including what is made from a subsequent sell-on clause), rather than just the up-front fee.
It does go some way to explaining why he can't be arsed to take another job. Imagine nearly £30k per day (INCLUDING WEEKENDS) to just do nothing.
Obviously, it's only £16k-odd after tax, but I wouldn't say no.
While that idea is pretty unlikely, there are alternative explanations that aren't very palatable:
There is firm interest at, or close to TB's magic number & Bart wants to go - none of the parties want to risk injury or reveal the deal before it's actually sealed, so the 'injury' is announced...
