[Other Sport] Sack or hauled over the coals? You decide……..(not really as decision already made)

The cynical might think that there might be other issues or reasons in the background that have led to his bosses looking for an excuse to get rid. For the avoidance of doubt, that doesn't have to mean something sinister - he may just have fallen out with the wrong person. It's also possible...

    [Technology] IT help!

Is there a separate power supply for the monitor, or is the USB-C cable supposed to power it? It could look like the monitor is on (power light on), but it might not be receiving enough power to work properly & be detected. If you do have a separate power cable for the monitor, it's worth...

    [Humour] Joke du Jour

I feel a better punchline should be "Jesus, that's a hard one", or maybe even "God, that's a hard one"; but that opens up a whole Pandora's box of theological questions.

[Albion] Julio Enciso - Paraguay’s new wonder kid (Signed 17/06/2022)

Yep, because Brighton ALWAYS just hang a (very reasonable at €40m) price tag around a player's neck, don't they?

[Albion] Napoli interested in Billy Gilmour **Sold 30/08/24**

Would you be tempted by £200m? £500m? £1bn? He's a decent player and we shouldn't give him away, but suggesting he's PRICELESS is over-egging the pudding somewhat.

I got as far as hovering a finger over 'Get' in the App Store, before remembering I have a list of at least 3,862 things I need to do before I commit any time to something like that... Must. Not. Cave.

[Misc] Plastering - lime plaster - NSC knowledge request

Not sure where you are, but I know someone who's based in Heathfield that (if he's not too busy, which is a distinct possibility) would be just the man. He'll give you good advice even if he can't take the job. I'll DM you his number.

I drove the other way - from Calgary to Vancouver but via Kelowna a few years ago. A stunning part of the world and this is so sad to see.

I could herd my children into the back of my car and that wouldn't make herd a collective noun for kids

I grew up bottle feeding lambs as my dad had a small flock as a hobby (still does). While flock is 100% more common, herd is still correct :)

That could equally be derived from herd as a verb - a sheep herder

The term "herd" is commonly used to refer to a group of sheep. Other collective nouns for sheep include "flock" and "drove," but "herd" is perfectly acceptable.
