I left it several years ago. I communicate with my actual friends in other ways and anyone that I don't speak with is obviously not that important to me so I just didn't see the point.
I think it's original purpose was good but it's completely spiralled away from that and full of scams...
thank you, I've booked
I've never done this before, my ticket for it just says car park C, which from the information appears to cover various car parks at the Uni site. Presume when I get there someone scans my QR code and tells me where to go?
thank you I'll note that
I have the calendar year so happy to wait for that one to be next season if so. Otherwise get it in before the pitch gets done
big news
Starting on 1.1.24 I will be undertaking a special quest:
To go to a game at every football ground in Sussex within the calendar year (From SCFL Divison 2 upwards)
There are 59 clubs that fit the criteria but due to ground shares that number comes down to 55 (with a * against...
moving the T20 to earlier in the season when it's far from warm has had a big impact. Wasn't that long ago that the County Ground was RAMMED for evening T20 games. Went last season, froze my bollocks off and the ground was half full
Then as for having the Hundred at the same time as the 40 over...
the answer is, as you say, niche small businesses but they'd need to be financially incentivised to move in there for all the reasons you say- poor footfall and high rents aren't a particularly appealing proposition
what to do with it though? I imagine the rents are high
Arcadia lasted a bit beyond lockdowns as I went there fairly recently but it was generally dead- I imagine Covid did an absolute number on them and they never fully recovered
it's been in a sad state of decline for many, many years
Think other than Starbucks at the entrance it's only the chap who sells mobile phone cases and the bureau de change that's left
I remember it being quite vibrant when I was younger
both of Larry May's sons were with the Albion as youngsters. Chris was a goalie who I think may have even made a sub appearance for the first team. His other boy Steve was with Brighton up to u-18 level I think and was best friends with Sam Rents. Would have scored for the youth team but never...
probably depends on your definition of father. Forster was obviously not his biological father but absolutely a huge part of his life (I am sure that when he was on the verge of breaking through he was under the name of Caskey and by the time he broke through he'd added his step dads name). Also...
So last night the Hinshelwood's joined what appears to be quite an exclusive club of father/son duo's who have not only played for but scored for Brighton.
I can only think of:
Adam & Jack Hinshelwood
Gerry & Darragh Ryan
Steve & Joe Gatting
any others?
where do we stand on the Nicky...
absolutely
Adam Hinshelwood was a really good defender and was on course to solidifying himself as a solid championship level player before his injury. Had even received an England U-21 call up
