It's a common fallacy among those who aren't aware of our set up. Upon purchasing I'm sure Bloom knew Kauro was worth more than £3m, which is why we bought him. However, now he's shown he's a huge talent in the Premier League, the amount we paid is irrelevant. If he's the best winger in the...
I feel it's better to not give it attention. If coming out as a professional sportsperson leads to headlines and new articles, it'll probably be harder for the next person. Once it's a non-entity it'll be a lot easier for those who wish to share it publicly to do so.
Good for this bloke...
Well he isn't wrong, but we can all see the substantial improvement in the last four months from a manager that could barely even speak English when he arrived.
Potter had three years to change things, RDZ has had three months. The difference in ratio of improvement to time between both...
Saudi blood money. A once proud club that represented a great city reduced to a play thing for a murderous regime.
Never let anyone forget. We want our national sport back.
This is the correct answer. We pay more now than when we were promoted. IIRC 50k was about our top earner, and if reports are to be believed 80-90k is about the top earner now.
If we were to become a fixture in Europe I wouldn't be opposed to a few key players earning £100k+. The issue comes...
Again, you're going back two decades here. I could list a bunch of Spanish, German, Dutch, Croatian, Portuguese and Danish players who are world class within the last 8 years. There's a reason Ireland or ROI don't do well in big tournaments.
I'm not trying to be facetious, I just don't think...
For Connor's goal the commentator says 'He [Hansen] steps up to try and play him offside when the ball hadn't even been played yet'.
Sure an offside trap only works before the ball has been played anyway?
With respect, is there much pedigree in Ireland? I can think of maybe 3 Irish players in the last twenty years who would improve our team at their peak (Roy Keane, Evans, Robbie Keane).
Based on his current ability and age, he is £100m good for sure. If he never improved and gave 10 years of this level he'd still be a £40-£50m player. My view is that he'll almost certainly improve.
