Yes of course to a degree. He just seems the sort who would go any club that pays him the most without consideration of anything else (such as standard/competition/playing time/development/location etc). I don’t think there are that many complete mercenaries around.
He’ll go whenever the highest bidder is. If it was us it would be here. Very much a mercenary.
Not that we’d be the highest bidder or want him back mind.
Hasn’t really kicked on as expected. A fair number of ‘concentration’ mistakes and his distribution isn’t good enough for the way we’re going to play going forward. A shame for him to go like this but didn’t really see he’d find a way back under RDZ anyway. Be interesting to see how much we get...
His contract expires this season. They also aren’t home grown which is something we’re going to have to think about this summer.
We’ve shown ourselves as a pretty progressive place for young talent so wouldn’t be at all surprised if he ended up here if we want him.
This. The only thing that edges it for Steele is that his distribution is an absolute mile better than Sanchez. That’s more important than the old world class save the way we play. If we weren’t so keen on drawing sides onto us and the keeper being an integral part to that Sanchez would be playing.
Quite how anyone can watch that and thinks it’s a deliberate handling of ball is beyond me
Can see the potential argument around it being an ‘unnatural’ position of the arm - not that I think it is - but deliberate it certainly is not
They are both going the same way. Pulisic is concentrating on trying to lean into Pervis. He doesn’t know the ball is anywhere near his hand until it pretty much arrives.
Looking in the wrong direction, running and an arm not in an unnatural position IMO. We would have been absolutely livid if that was against us. Not a penalty for me.
