    [Albion] The Potter in/out thread

You are all too precious. If he was the best man for the job last time, then appoint him. There's not much loyalty in football anywhere.

[Albion] My brother doesn't like football....

My son supports Brighton almost as much as I do, although he rarely gets there. Must have been a couple of dozen times since the early 1990s plus many more away games. Guiltily, I keep saying he should follow Coventry City (where he was born) but to no avail. There aren't many of us up this way.

If you need a manger, it must be for a second coming. (Potter ??)

[Albion] Who do you want to become our new manager?

Well. unlike many on here, I for one would be for him returning. Obviously he fitted the profile required last time round. I don't consider what happened at Chelsea reflected too much on him (getting sacked, I mean) and, let's face it, all managers are mercenary opportunists at the end of the...

[Albion] Single appearance Albion (first team) 'careers' that you've witnessed.

Here's one for the old timers. Does anyone remember a winger called Peter Knight who played a few games during the famous div.4 promotion season (1964-1965) ? I think he was pulled out of Wednesday afternoon football in Preston Park (Post Office or Coop teams played there on early closing day)...

[Albion] Have we ever had a truly crushing last gasp defeat?

Cheltenham(a) in 2008. We led 1-0 until Gillespie scored twice in stoppage time.

[Albion] Have we ever had a truly crushing last gasp defeat?

Slightly dfferent, but Gordon Smith at Wembley is up there for me - although I came away pleased we had given such a good performance.

One slip up. Otherwise had a solid game.

[Albion] Bobby Smith and that 1964-65 season

I seem to remember the Darlo game was on a Monday night. Waited apprehensively all day before catching the bus to the match. Electric atmosphere. 31000 for a Div 4 match was unheard of. The first goal was our hundredth for the season, the majority scored at home. I saw all but 5 of them - missed...
