I dropped him a message earlier. His reply doesn’t really advance the news but for the record:
"Celtic care more about money than on field success, so they would definitely cash in. Player isn’t pushing for a move though and has a 4 year contract so he won’t be sold for less than his value...
If you know more about trusts than me (which isn’t saying much) then fair enough but I thought that was the whole idea of trusts ie a way of ringfencing money for a particular purpose in case of divorce/ death etc. I’m guessing that most needn’t be overly complex but no idea about cost. Only...
Not sure about last minute packages but on Skyscanner you can search for all flights from London (or a particular airport) and leave the destination open. Sort according to price and you’ll get a list of cheapest flights. We’ve done this before and ended up in Athens, Budapest and Oslo on...
It may not help in all circumstances but a trust is a way of keeping money apart from the estate in general. This could be useful should you die and your son splits from his wife before the money is used. In normal circumstances your gift will be split between them. but money held in a trust is...
I like Wayne Rooney. He seems honest and humble. Unlike Lampard and Gerrard he doesn’t seem to expect to be handed top jobs just because he was a great player. I’d like him to succeed though that looks unlikely at this point.

In the North Stand maybe but I don’t notice much of a singalong in the East Upper. Mind you, with the age demographic of EU, a lot of things pass us by.
Number 1 can be discounted. I have a nephew in Glasgow who’s a STH at Celtic and always talks about Brighton with great admiration and is keen to make a trip to the Amex. And while I don’t like talk about "big clubs", Celtic are as big as they come in terms of their following.
You being happy with our squad isn’t proof that we don’t need, or aren't looking for, other players in important positions. By all means express an opinion but it’s best not to express it as if it’s a fact.
It must be just me but I love the seats at Goodison. Those blue, wooden clattery fold-down seats that could be 100 years old. Certainly they’re identical to the old blue seats in the old Wembley that were installed in the 1920s.
I find there’s a disappointing philistinism when (I’m guessing)...
Um, but we had a clean sheet today…?
I feel confident we’ll do better than last year when we went to somewhere round Christmas before keeping a clean sheet!
Indeed, that’s what I meant by ‘restricting’. I’m guessing the club might want somewhere closer, both geographically and culturally. In practice I’m not sure how it would work.
That might be the reason they’re asking for priority — previous problems getting players to come. Still, if a player is adamant he won’t go to Turkey I don’t see what use it is to have priority.
