[Sussex] A bit brisk tomorrow... *** Met Office RED weather warning ***

Because people are bloody fed up with being under house arrest for months and months and they can now make their own decisions.

[Sussex] A bit brisk tomorrow... *** Met Office RED weather warning ***

Sun's just come out here in mid Sussex. Another load of panic about nothing. Although I expect a government announcement shortly telling us we cannot leave our homes except for 30 minutes exercise a day, we cannot meet anyone anywhere, and we must all have an anti-storm vaccine.

[Football] All 40 Elite football referees are white

Exactly. If the top 40 referees in the country are white, then so be it. If the top 40 referees are black, so be it. This crazy focus on the colour of people's skin has got to stop.

[Albion] Steve Burtenshaw has died aged 86

Was just going to say exactly the same thing (although not sure Roy Jennings could be considered a half back?) ... great memories of those years. It was so good being an Albion supporter. RIP Steve.

[Albion] Player ratings vs Man Utd (a)

Not sure how you can give the same rating to a player not at his best and very sloppy, and another giving a very sound performance?

    [Politics] Jacinda Arden

Horrible woman. Her and that Krankie woman to the north of us make a right pair.

[Albion] Another forward signing in the summer?

Very good to read such intelligent posts. Thank you!

    [Albion] Fan advisory board

Items 2 and 3 on the list are a complete waste of space. The only discussion about the women's team should be a proposal to disband it and spend the money on something useful.

[News] Face Masks and Covid Passes to end in England from next Thursday

Reference the question, wearing masks and having to show covid passes is not "living life normally".

    [Albion] Positives from tonight

I just couldn't understand why Gross took the penalty. When was the last one he took for us? Either MacAllister or Maupay would have been the obvious choice. Who made the decision? And why?

[Politics] If there was a general election tomorrow

I would certainly have voted Conservative, however I absolutely refuse to vote for a party that stole two years of my life because of these ridiculous lockdowns and other restrictions. I hope Nigel Farage re-enters politics and I would vote for whichever party he's involved in.

[Albion] Albion Women v Man City Women - (Live Coverage)

Those are the facts. It's pointless trying to pretend that there's a national interest in women's football and having the matches played in massive stadiums in front of crowds of 1000. It should have been started at a grass roots level and built from there if and when justified. The business...

[Albion] Albion Women v Man City Women - (Live Coverage)

I would guess about 100 with probably about 50 of those being freebies. Why the need to attempt to build a women's league when it is quite clear most people couldn't give a damn? Men haven't seen women playing netball and said "we want some of that" and set up a men's netball league.

    [Albion] Newcastle

I feel genuinely sorry for the Newcastle supporters. They deserve better. However I am totally opposed to the Saudi ownership and the fact that they can now buy their way to success in the same way Man City have. There are a lot of things wrong with top flight football.

[Albion] Albion Women v Man City Women - (Live Coverage)

What an embarrassment. I have no idea why we bother with a women's team.

    [Albion] Goldstone 25

By Bob McNicol (a full-back, I believe). It was indeed one of the best goals I can recall seeing at the Goldstone.

    [Albion] Goldstone 25

Norman Wisdom on the pitch singing his version of Sussex by the Sea in 1965. Have any other groups of supporters ever experienced anything similar?

You did. Sorry. Only read the top line of your post.

[Misc] Can anyone suggest a sentence where…

There's a sentence with the word "had" eleven times consecutively. Smith, where Jones had had had, had had had had; had had had had the examiner's approval. My aunt told me that one back in the 1950s.
