I was and what a game I played….since then I have been home after an operation and have had time to watch the highlights , but it followed a similar fashion of umpteen other games.
Maybe, but time stands for no man. He walked off the pitch and went to the boxing last night so how bad it is I don’t know ?
He looked much more up for it playing on the wing a different player as Viera had him playing as a lone istriker up the middle for a lot of games.
Was one of the best opening 10 minutes, but from then on, well you saw….this was a pattern, go at the opposition for 10, they would suss that out and no other plan.
Sorry I have to disagree, having watched palace under Viera from probably jan 22 the team looked devoid of a plan, we played more or less the same formation game after game when it clearly wasn’t working if I could see it so could the players.
Like many a great player they don’t make good...
I’ve been in hospital having a spinal fusion….probably won’t go again this season, so this season is dead to me. Get the heavy roller on and put the stumps in.
I am not the sort of person that gets too upset about football, that’s probably why I support Palace.
Bit snobby that, all those teams mentioned are proud teams of old and playing them is no bad thing, like all but say 6 teams in the premier league we will go up and down as is the wonderful thing about the English game.
Haven’t visited this thread for a while.
Disappointed with the way Viera went but TBH, most of us could see it wasn’t working.
From January last season we were not great only the cup run was papering over the cracks, the semi final was shocking and I lost it then with Viera, which was a shame...
I am a season ticket holder for 30+ years for my sins. I play snooker every Wednesday funnily enough with a Brighton fan ( although more of a follower, he was born next to the county ground so more a cricket man) we had a bit of banter, but I seemed to be potting marbles in buckets yesterday and...
My biggest fear is my total disinterest in this season, played snooker last night total forgot about the game until this morning.
The World Cup being played mid season and VAR have totally knocked the love of football out of me, and I suppose the results haven’t helped, but to be fair I have...
I don’t know if this has been mentioned but on GB news the alternative match of the day…I saw a tweet, they describe Brighton as rainbow flag waving ,tofu eating wookaraty.
The kin state of that show…I don’t know how to copy it but it’s pretty homophonic IMHO.
I think the “hatred” is far more Brighton towards Palace, Palace fans look towards Millwall and Charlton just because of the locality. A few of us have a bit of a thing against QPR for what they did to us in the early 80s. We love the banter with BHA, but unless your one of those who hate BHA...
I am a lefty, woke snowflake…..but have always quite liked his off the cuff miserable dad comments, he plays it well and I enjoy watching him, yes sometimes he says or writes something that goes a bit far, but he plays the stooge well and if you take all he says with a pinch of salt he is...
That’s all fair enough this season but what about the last 30 seasons, some fans ( not all) kept the rivalry going when the gap between the clubs was huge….but if you say the rivalry should be over then so be it, can I go back to the old fashioned derby v Charlton and save all my hatred for...
I don’t really think any palace fan believes the founded 1861 malarkey, but is it a marketing ruse to attract
Not only that the amount of replica shirts seen around probably makes it worthwhile, even my lads got one and he is certainly in the 1905 camp.
With this I agree, as Palace were being played off the park I could see why we were silent as I spent much of the game mouth open not quite believing how bad we played, no passion from the players deserve no passion from the fans imo.
But also not much from the Brighton fans which surprised me...
