Very different team of players.
With the right players Roy is a good manager as his record shows, players seem to like him and that makes a great difference.
Honestly take it from me, Palace were playing awfully before Viera went, not so much the losing but the manner of the losing, no shots in 4 games with Eze, Olisa and Zaha in the team.
Losing is one thing but the players looked lost in the set up, it was not going to get better.
Did not Palace...
I didn’t like to say 😁
Goldberg was a avid palace fan and still is I have seen him at both home and away games in the past even after losing his millions, he was taken to the cleaners by Mr Noads like a cash rich teenager in a whore house.
As mentioned Jordan had bigger ego than cash supply.
He was a very lucky businessman spotting a gap in the mobile phone business. But from then on ambition over took his financing and led to his fall…mind you he has managed to carve out a decent living since.
I have no Ill feeling on him myself and wish him all the best.
Plus the fact he never started Eze, he used to bring him on with 10 to go.
Most palace fans wanted Viera to do well and were sorry it didn’t work out, but there really was no go in the team , 4 games without a shot on target….Roy’s first game we had something like24 in the first half. In that...
When palace lost to Man united in 2016, I left Wembley as soon as the final whistle went, could not believe there were 1000s of Man U fans in front of me at Wembley Central. They didn’t even bother to watch their team lift the cup !!
One never knows, Southampton at the time and Leicester where thought of as the way to go, only the sad death of owners derailed them.
I hope nothing like that happens to Bloom, but a poor manager choice a few injuries a poor run and lack of confidence can happen to any club bar the top big...
Well yes TBH, There are many many teams in lower divisions that have gone to “ the next level” then a few years later it all goes pop, the odd cup run and stability will do for this old boy.
A day with mates a few pints and a game of football does me.
I personally have no problem with it and my mates I go with don’t seem bothered also the pole on the BBS seems favourable.
I mean Coppell and Murray are heroes and going back even further oRilley, let’s face it it’s a job to them only the most biased fan could not appreciate the job Potter did...
Although not popular Mullery kept palace up with one of the worst squads I have ever seen as well as all the fuss with Noads wanting to merge with Wimbledon….what a time to be a palace fan that was !
As for Potter I wouldn’t mind if he did or didn’t become manager, although his football was...
There is also a great interview with Hodgson done by Nevill, if you take the Blue and white specs off you will enjoy his enthusiasm and love for the game…I hope I am half that fit and enthusiastic at that age.
Well it’s congratulation from me….if “teams like” BHA can do it so can “teams like”Palace.
Good luck it’s one hell of an achievement and I can’t say I am not a little jealous.
