[Albion] Georginio Rutter - singed 19/8/24

Raw talent. His ability to drive forward with the ball is unique. He wanted a foul from the ref at one point, but then just continued on bringing the ball forward at speed when the ref said play on. The only other AM/SS in the league who has similar running power is Morgan Rogers. Both are...

[Albion] Liverpool vs Brighton & Hove Albion *** Official Match Thread ***

The inexperience showed in the 2nd half. Brighton needed to show some of the composure that came at 2-1 down when Liverpool equalised. It was a fortunate goal by Gakpo, but then Estupiñán made a terrible mistake when he allowed Salah to cut inside onto his left foot. Rutter is raw. He needs to...

[Albion] Mats Wieffer SINGS on 5 year contract

Both Lamptey and Veltman, between them, should be tackling or at least blocking Díaz's shot.

[Albion] Mats Wieffer SINGS on 5 year contract

You could be unimprssed by some of his previous performances, but he was very good last night. If he plays like he did last night in PL games with Baleba on song next to him, Brighton will do well in most games.

A goal and an assist last night. 🐐

[Albion] Julio Enciso - Paraguay’s new wonder kid (Signed 17/06/2022)

I'd focus on him winning his duels and not giving the ball away.

    [Albion] Hürzeler’s (Brighton) Tactics

Igor clocked in at 34.28 km/h vs Spurs last season. One of the higgest speeds recorded last season. Ogbene was just under 37 km/h. You made an incorrect assumption and are doubling down on it now. They're all significantly quicker than Dunk.

[Albion] Julio Enciso - Paraguay’s new wonder kid (Signed 17/06/2022)

It would weaken the squad depth. He was very good off the bench vs Chelsea. 9/10 passes completed 4/6 ground duels won 1/2 dribbles completed 3 fouls won 2 shots (1 on target) That's the type of impact you need coming off the bench. He's not like Sarmiento. He'd see himself as way above The...

    [Albion] Hürzeler’s (Brighton) Tactics

Dunk isn't all that anymoe though. van Hecke is the vastly superior CB now. Unfortunately for him, he's not blessed with raw speed either. A LCB with more pace who can cover in behind is essential next summer. It's doubtful that Igor will be the long term solution, but is worth a try.

    [Albion] Hürzeler’s (Brighton) Tactics

Sorry, but you just don't get it. You can't have two slow CBs in a high line system. Igor is the only CB with above average pace. Until a new CB is signed, he's worth a try for a few games. But that won't happen. Even if Brighton drop 10 yards, a CB with pace is still needed. You're just...

    [Albion] Hürzeler’s (Brighton) Tactics

Igor is a LCB with more recovery speed. Dunk is likely to play every game if fit, meaning it's difficult for Igor to get a look in. van Hecke would benefit from a more athletic CB in a high line system.

    [Albion] Hürzeler’s (Brighton) Tactics

The recruitment team can make mistakes. I think they got last season's summer window horribly wrong in terms of midfielders. Dahoud and Milner were poor acquisitions to replace Caicedo and Mac Allister. Baleba was signed for the future, which is working out now. But if left Brighton short in...

    [Albion] Hürzeler’s (Brighton) Tactics

Depends on how much Brighton want to spend. Badiashile - 23 years old - Left footed - Quick and good on the ball He's had a mixed spell at Chelsea, but still has potential. Chelsea might be willing to sell for a reasonable price. Hato - 18 years old - Left footed - Quick and exceptional on...

[Albion] Chelsea vs Brighton & Hove Albion *** Official Match Thread ***

I think Igor playing LCB next to van Hecke is worth a shot. He has more speed than Dunk. Dropping Dunk won't be an easy decision. A bit more recovery pace at CB takes Brighton to the next level. I'd look at Badiashile if he's available in January. Still only 23. Left footed CB with good...

[Albion] Chelsea v Brighton & Hove Albion*** SCORE PREDICTOR THREAD ***

Quite a lot of negativity. Chelsea aren't perfect either. They're clearly the favourites, but I only see them winning by a goal. 2-1 win for Chelsea. But wouldn't be surprised if it's draw.
