I don't know if this counts because whilst the event itself was pretty cheap, around £70 per ticket I think...it was abroad which obviously meant flights, hotel and spending money for a week taking the total spend to around £4k

It's a bubble, not entirely dissimilar to the political and social bubbles that exist on social media. A relentless stream of content and opinions that serve only to re-enforce one's own entrenched beliefs and biases, allowing for zero nuance.

Last stadium show I went to was Rammstein in 2022. Think I paid about £50. No dynamic pricing or the like.

I think the dynamic pricing thing is an option turned on by default that artists can opt out of.
There's a Dimension20 live show at Madison Square Garden next year and they opted out of it after being told by fans Ticketmaster was gouging them for every penny.
Which of course means that Oasis...

Part of Live Nation I think. Live Nation who own a bunch of venues and then only sell tickets via Ticketmaster and their god awful dynamic pricing system.
A far cry from dropping in to Resident and grabbing paper tickets from them.
