I lost some weight last year using this programme (don't recommend it really). But their recipes were brilliant. Tasty, easy to cook and very easy to stick with. I think to get all their recipes (and a book) you need to be a member (don;t bother) but there do seem to be a few recipes here -...
Day 1: 16st 4lb
Day 18: 15st 12.7lb
-5.3lb (2.4kg)
Really good weekend. No snacking, lots of water, eating well with loads of veg. Pleased to get through a weekend without going backwards.
Edit: thanks to everyone chipping in on this thread. It really helps.
I'd go for more, and more types of, veg with every meal. Almost any can be hacked up and roasted with spices. Kale, cabbages, cauli all amazing right now (try quartering a hispi or curly cabbage and roasting!!).
So my advice, load up on veg (bar the very carby roots).
Day 1: 16st 4lb
Day 16: 16st 0lb
-4lb
Back to where I was a week ago and I think moving in the right direction. More hopeful of hitting 7lbs by the end of the month.
Well done to everyone else for sticking with this. Sustainable change in eating habits is the name of the game for all of us.
We have Clipper Tea and Redbush (for me - no caffeine)
And here are some reasons why a tea company might be suffering:
Less tea purchased
The amount of tea purchased per household has decreased from 68 grams per week in 1974 to 25 grams today.
Fewer cups of tea
The average Brit drinks eight...
I saw a comment on another thread (Kiernan DH) about the long contacts dished out by Chelsea. It wasn't long ago that we would have regarded Matt's five year deal as a very long contract. Have we moved in the same direction as Chelsea by amortising deals over longer time periods?
I recall 50p in 1978 but could be wildly wrong. Under the floodlight in the NW corner.
After the first season paying on the gate, my Mum kindly bought me a season ticket (book of tickets) which I think might have been £40 or £50?
Not sure I've contributed very helpfully to this thread!
Day 1: 16st 4lb
Day 15: 16st 0.5lb
Loss 3.5lb
Half way there and half way through the month. Steady recovery after a really bad weekend.
How is everyone else doing?
The Armed Man by Karl Jenkins.
I was lucky enought to see the great man himself conduct it at The Royal Festival Hall a few years ago. Huge choir and a full orchestra. Absolutely mind blowing.
Here he is in Berlin - a one hour treat.
Trigger warning - they didn't hold back on the video...
