I’m 47 and knew who he was, but then again, my lovely Dad drilled 50s and 60s music into my ears from birth so I can understand why Vince Hill might not have been on the radar for many.
I couldn’t tell you much about popular music after 2005 though! :D

I have one or two friends who slag off football all the time and don’t understand why I’m not into F1 as much as they are as it’s ‘so exciting’ and ‘not as ‘corrupt’ as other sports.

It’s very much personal choice. Personally I was of the view that until we had a permanent home, I wouldn’t go there, though I found the idea of refusing to drive past a bit extreme to me, but there you go.
After we nested as the Amex, I even stretched it on another couple of years before...
I always liked the term ‘BrindiePop’ - covered more genres and more bands over the period ‘93 to ‘98.
I was late teens/early twenties at the time and loved 99% of it. Still do.
As a former member of Police staff for 23 years until 2022, most years there was no pay rise at all. Some years we had 1%,, a couple of years in the early 00s we got 2.5% and I think we had 2.75% spread out over 2 years a couple of years ago... so i'm chuffed to bits that my former colleagues...
Same as (well 36 years as it goes), and I know it's a thing... but there are a few clubs who actually are on a Home / Away rotation for the first few weeks, so it's (selfishly) annoying that we're not.
Still annoyed at two back-to-back home games at the end of August, which means I miss both because I’m abroad.
Why can’t it just be Home / Away rotation until postponements make it impossible?
