[Football] What is your all time favorite football quote?

Poor Liam. He wasn’t around for the replay as he’d had enough of Archerlotti by then.

[Football] What is your all time favorite football quote?

Comments from thick players make me chuckle. The exact quote isn’t on record but Palace keeper Hennessey having ‘never heard of Hitler’ must’ve taken the biscuit to all those in earshot. David Seaman’s embarrassing quote when filming the three lions video to Frank Skinner: “So Frank, who is...

[Albion] 92nd to 1st in just 9,246 days

This is the snapshot in our history that I always refer to. Dec 3rd 1996, having just lost 2-3 at home to Darlington. We were so, so far adrift. I think Case got sacked that night. For me, this was the point of doom, when I was clinging on to the last ounce of hope I had. I might have even had...

[Albion] West Upper closing at 17:30

Gonna reply to myself as some have seen my comment as a moan / first world problems etc. It’s not a moan, I was just remarking on a fact.

[Albion] West Upper closing at 17:30

It was noticeable the lack of snacks in the West Upper today - and the bottled soft drinks were warm.

[Albion] Who will be the Caicedo replacement ? if he goes

Billy Gilmour for me. A developing player who showed us all at the back end of the season that he can be very impressive.

[Albion] Where is Moises going? (Chelsea - 14/08/2023)

You clearly have no idea about how Tony works then.

    [Albion] Chewits wrapper, or not?

Dan’s article is factually accurate. We wore the NOBO ‘Chewits’ top for the one and only time for the Wembley game - hence ‘nearly promoted in the Chewits wrapper’ wording. That season’s official away top is on display here - the swirly red/white (pink) photos of the team in the article - and...

[Music] Music performances that bring a tear to your eye.

It was my dad’s favourite song, and the only 45 he ever kept as he moved through the years through cassettes, cd, mp3… Best selling instrumental ever and arguably the best instrumental ever, period. And now it’s hanging on the wall in my home in his memory, with his initials in the inner groove...

Yes that was a powerful image watching him cry after that performance

[Music] Music performances that bring a tear to your eye.

Songs make me well up quite a few times, but specifically a couple: Brian Wilson (when he still had some semblance of a voice) singing ‘Warmth of the sun’ in 2002 at the Brighton Centre The Shadows’ ‘Wonderful Land’ : was my dad’s funeral song

Yep they played that at my mates funeral too. It got to most of the mourners.

    [Music] RIP Vince Hill

Must admit to being disappointed a few years ago to discover that Christopher Plummer’s version of Edelweiss in ‘The Sound of Music’ (and all his other singing parts) was overdubbed by another chap. Not Milli Vanilli though. Evidently Plummer was livid when he watched the film for the first time!
