[News] Water companies an apology of sorts.

Water nationalisation - another thing Corbyn was right about and another policy that was branded ''hard left''

[Albion] Can anyone else not bring themselves to watch Newcastle?

what they have done in Yemen (war crimes) is disgusting so have the same feeling. Difficulty is that we can make moral judgements on lots of owners - Man U are US owned and look what they have done/are doing post ww2. If everything is applied equally we should boycott many teams.

[Albion] Mahmoud Dahoud (Loaned to VfB Stuttgart 31/01/24)

Dahoud is of Syrian Kurdish parents so yes Kurdish. Yasim is Iraqi (from Baghdad). More likely to be Arab but there are Kurds in Baghdad so there is also a possibility he's Kurdish.

[Albion] New deal for Steven Alzate

Watching Gilmour yesterday got me thinking about how Alzate would flourish in this team/set up. I hope we keep hold of him and give him a run. Think he's at least as technical as Gilmour (perhaps even more so) and a bit more physical.

[Albion] So, who is leaving this summer?

Caicedo and Mac will go. Caicedo a lot harder to replace - we dont have anyone ready made to replace a strong ball winner like him. Im sure management will have an eye on a potential replacement.

[Politics] Labour has suspended former leader Jeremy Corbyn

Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and Israeli human rights group B'tselem have all declared Israel as an Apartheid state. Starmer and many of his front bench are all members of Labour Friends of Israel group. They welcome Israeli dignitaries to the UK with open arms. Akin to the...

[Politics] Labour has suspended former leader Jeremy Corbyn

Behaved in a racist way lol. If you defend Palestinian rights and are critical of Israeli Apartheid that smear is applied liberally and casually. Black, arabs, brown people/those subjucated dont matter to the current Labour Party - see the minimisation of the Forde report and look at the...

[Politics] Who here has switched voting preference?

Will never vote Tory and for the first time in a long time wont be voting Labour at a general election. Proportional representation is desperately needed.

[Politics] Sir Keir Starmer’s route to Number 10

Bland centrism (i.e status quo) may well win the election but doesnt equate to significant/radical changes which are desperately needed - Energy, NHS, Housing etc. Very confident that anything moderately significant Starmer proposes will be watered down significantly or binned once hes in power.

[Politics] Sir Keir Starmer’s route to Number 10

There are very few politicians who I would trust to try and carry out what they said they would and certainly, not the heads of the current two main parties. This current version of Labour will be indecipherable from the Tories once in power

[Politics] Sir Keir Starmer’s route to Number 10

If you believe anything Starmer promises then I fear you will be very disappointed. He's the ''chosen'' one for areason. Wont rock the boat etc

[Politics] Labour has suspended former leader Jeremy Corbyn

In fairness, Johnson and Starmer are fairly indistinguishable

[Politics] Labour has suspended former leader Jeremy Corbyn

So youre content with a prime minister who is anti-democratic, anti worker/union, a frequent liar and supports a hard right apartheid state. Perhaps reflect what that says about yourself and your moral compass

[Politics] Labour has suspended former leader Jeremy Corbyn

Such an anti-democratic move by Starmer. What terrible options the two main parties are.
