Does anyone honestly believe that he would develop any more quickly than Facundo or any other of our past and present South American teenagers who were thrown straight into the PL squad? Call me sceptical.

Surely their coaches are largely responsible for his lack of progress? It sounds like he would have got nearly as much game time here as in WBA, so he would certainly have been better off having RDZ and his staff polish him up.
