It would be unfair to name the pub. But yes. I used to live in Poets Corner until 2002 so thought it would be nice to frequent old haunts. I don’t have an issue generally and I know I sound like an old fart, but it was literally being treated as a crèche.
Just had a post drinks evening out with two colleagues from work in Poets Cornet in Hove. I get that pubs need to cater for all needs and I have no issue with children in pubs normally , but when did Halloween become an excuse for a night out for groups of 10/12 people with 4/5 year olds in...
The blocking technique always helps. One of you waits to order at the bar and another spreading next to him/her to take up as much room as possible until one of you gets served. When service begins the other can then move away from the bar.
Completely innocently, two seasons ago my season ticket neighbour walked up to the back of the very short queue for a drink at the outside Harvey’s bar opposite the East stand and got two beers in about 5 minutes. As he walked away he realised he had joined the back of that part of the queue...

I very much doubt it. It’s not on the ticketing website and I think it has only been implemented for Sunday games or when there have been specific travel issues such as the West Coast railway line being closed etc.
Well, the short road trip next May is all booked up. Two nights in Reims en route and then four nights in Bernkastle. If only there was a German on this board that could provide recommendations on Mosel valley wine selections…..@Herr Tubthumper ?..
Just for interest, I just had a look on Starlizard’s website.
