Pays your money make your choice. You are a convert, I’m not. No right or wrong imo. Enjoy your EV, you will be buying one.
Was it you who removed the option to view who voted what?
Yep, having owned a couple of Porsche, lovely cars, but the Porsche tax on parts is a piss take. A drivers rubber door seal on a Porsche 993 Targa is £600 and that does not include fitting. Avoid unless you are very rich or want to be seen in a Porsche!
Wow, so you have decided that any one who owns and drives a nice ICE sports car needs sympathy for intruding on your ears? Not sure I can carry this on without being much ruder than you are being, so I’ll leave it there. It has absolutely nothing to do with being noticed as I tend to use my...
No you are confused between the sound of a sports car exhaust note and a chav mobile exhaust note. No comparison
I’ll live with your compassion and concern as I pootle by in my sports car in town. I just hope a hard of hearing person doesn’t step out in front of your silent car. Don’t be too...
I rest my case for one of the reasons I don’t like EVs.
I am not knocking, just saying it’s not for me, I understand the advantages and I have a drive and garage so could easily buy an EV. I just don’t want one.
Well I prefer to hear a nice exhaust note over a sewing machine noise but each to their own
The pitch of the engine noise is part of driving a manual car, you either get it or you don’t
Many don’t given how much they over rev their engines, the auto gearbox is a godsend for them :lolol:
I think quite a few people still feel quite strongly that they don’t want an EV and prefer a lighter more nimble better sounding ICE vehicle so I doubt they’ll ever take over completely until there is no choice. Some won’t even switch from a manual to a PDK/automatic
Inefficient ICE vehicles have a soundtrack, that is actually important to some of us
Non SUV sporty ICE vehicles also handle much better than a lardy EV
You pays your money and takes your choice. In the case of an EV much more money for a bland and often shoddily put together Tesla or...
Fair enough. I am the opposite, I love driving on open roads. Not much of a fan of driving in heavy traffic which seems to be most driving these days in the South. Continental A road driving in an ICE car with a lovely exhaust note in a sporty car is as much fun as watching the Albion win for me...
