Comparing the drone of Mareille fans with some of the louder sets of English fans is like comparing your washing machine on a long cycle with your Spotify wrapped.
One of them is longer and louder but it seems mental to think it’s better.
I’ll try and use short sentences so you’ll understand:
Someone says any pro footballer would rather play in the Prem than the SPL as it’s a higher level.
You mention 3 ex Brighton players in the SPL
You also say that it’s better than working in Tesco or McDonalds which wasn’t really relevant...
Are you claiming that Cochrane, Goldson & Balogun would rather play in Scotland than the Premier League?
Not sure where working in Tesco fits in to someone saying players want to test themselves at the highest level, unless there’s a TSL (Tesco Super Leage) I’m unaware of.
If we’d signed him for £10,000,000 in the summer we’d all be praising the recruitment team for unearthing another gem.
He’s young so he will have dips in form but his progression is startling, going to have a massive career.
I post on another forum which is a mix of fans from all teams. The resident Palace fan suddenly hasn’t been able to find the Europa League thread since we played Ajax.
Funny that, can’t imagine why.
That’s the point I’m making.
If it was simply a case of getting a percentage of the original transfer fee then teams would sell players for next to nothing with incredibly simple fees making up the actual bulk of the transfer.
Why would Coventry sell Gyokeres for £20m and give us 20% when...
I hope so, if we can keep him trapped at The Amex for a couple of weeks we can probably flog him to Chelsea for 50m when the transfer window opens.
When he gets to their training ground and can’t play football they’ll just assume he’s done a Cucurella.
I hate to be the one of the burst your bubble, but the youngest English player in Europa League history is Dane Scarlett at Spurs who made his debut when he was 16.
Hinsh & Bellingham are joint 40th...
Mainly because it’s not actually true, unfortunately.
The stat that was posted after the Athens game was that he was the youngest since Bellingham… which isn’t even that long ago really.
Still, great week for the lad.
Edit: Youngest to start a match since Bellingham!
