Strange approach from Sussex. Looked happy to just nudge it around whilst the run rate rocketed. Orr at 3 and FHP at 4 given their experience and lack of game time in this year’s competition was a mistake. I’m aware of their second 11 form, but the pressure of a first 11 game verses better...
Kicking myself! Left after the first innings when the covers came on. Rain apps all predicting heavier rain!
So of course they started 40 mins later and got an extra 17 overs in!
This is very sad news. A Sussex legend which I hope the younger generation grows up to appreciate too.

I would recommend favouriting the Sussex section to filter what you see, makes things a lot easier.
Garton needs to practice his death bowling. Miles will have a heavy back carrying this side.
At least you’d assume the management from here will keep Alsop in the side!
Disappointing.
Worrying on all parts. Bowling not reliable like previous years. I was expecting the batting to be better but it’s once again reliant on one of the openers exploding… and Rizwan has with little support.
Missing Wiese, Salt and Jordan so much.
It should be, yes. Players with international experience and great T20 records.
First game of the summer for many of them though. So hopefully the form picks up. Rawlins (with ball) and Rizwan (with bat) did well though, and both have had plenty of games already.
The most disappointing thing...
Perhaps…
None of them?
Genuinely love this Brighton squad as is. Improvements still possible and already excited for next season. As widely discussed priority should be retaining what we’ve got with contract extensions. Replace whoever is lost in the summer of course. But there isn’t much...
