The player ratings thread is always like this.
It's so frustrating, it's one of the reasons I rarely post on it.
My interpretation of the thread is to mark the players on how they performed IN THAT PARTICULAR MATCH.
Far too many posters mark on the basis of who their current hate/love player...
I can't be arsed to put my thinking cap on, but upon reading the requirements above I immediately thought .... Mitrovic. He has always reminded me of a younger, quicker Murray.
I'm not saying we could get him, afford him, or even want him ........ but in my view he is Murray MkII, and an...
If they can persuade Guiness to declare their street the world's steepest, that will be the Welsh version of the Golden Egg.
Tourists will flock there.
The local business owners (if there are any!) will be rubbing their hands!
I learned to drive back in the 70's when I lived in Woodingdean, and...
I would think Corbyn is quite keen to find out who was responsible so that he can send them a thank you card.
Without Dronegate, yesterday's headlines would have all been about Corbyn and his faux pas in PMQ's the previous day, and they would not have been supportive headlines either!
Back on...
Welcome to my parlour Pf.
Nobody can see you, you're safe here.
Unless you break cover you will never get insulted or bullied, but I must warn you ............... you will still get frustrated/enraged/upset by some of the posts, and you will find it hard not to log back in and respond...
I'm a newbie to it, retired just over 12 months ago.
Aside from the financials, it is easily the best career move I have ever made.
I had no plans to retire, I enjoyed my job and I felt the fittest guy on the planet and I was convinced I would find retirement boring.
How wrong was I.
Out of the...
To be fair to the ref, Propper WAS holding his head for a little while, and maybe it was at that point the ref had looked over?
I don't think it mattered anyway, that attack would have petered out in the same way all of West Ham's attacks petered out all night.
Ryan - 6 - Didn't have to make any saves, just fielded a few half hearted attempts, but his kicking was pigging awful tonight.
Bong - 6 - Reasonably solid defensively but one or two errors that better opponents might have punished. Virtually anonymous offensively.
Bruno - 6 - Good to see him...
My memory bank is telling me that the whole 90 minutes at Watford was worse!
That really really REALLY was the pits.
I can barely recall us crossing the halfway line, let alone getting into any goalscoring positions in that game.
At least tonight we had the AK shot that got charged down in the...
Ryan 6 - One good save but appalling distribution which could have hurt us.
Montoya 5 - Redmond had him on toast in the first half. Needed AK to help him out which reduced our (admittedly non-existent) attacking power in that half. Big improvement 2nd half.
Dunk 6 - Not one of his better games...
Yeah, I was also called a soft southerner when I first moved north of Brighton, so I can fully concur with that one, ... but I didn't hear bum boy and the like insults until much much later.
In this modern era of You Tube clips, maybe somebody will be able to post some early footage of opposing...
Maybe it was amongst the homosexual community, I wouldn't know anything about that, but it wasn't regarded as such by general society, and more particularly by football fans, not until much later in the century.
I would not for one second suggest any of the story is not true, but I would suggest your recollection of the conversation might be inaccurate?
Nobody referred to Brighton fans as bum boys in the early 80's.
I attended those Cup Finals, and at no stage can I recall the United fans chanting...
More than B'Muff probably!
My mum had a caravan in New Milton when I was a teenager.
She foolishly allowed me and my mates to 'borrow' it some weekends.
We had some great times, I loved the area and had some great nights out in Bournemouth.
I always said I would move to the area when I grew...
Edited for accuracy.
Lovely bit of eye candy, but she talks in cliches and platitudes.
Nothing insightful ever comes out of her mouth.
I listened to her for a few seconds after the Switzerland match and I couldn't take anymore so I switched channels to the BBC News which was just starting.
The...
You younger readers might not know him, but the oldies certainly should.
Mike Smith?
An Englishman who became Manager of the Wales National Football team a few years back?
He was my P.E. Teacher at Brighton Grammar School back in the mid to late 60's.
He was quite a scary man!
He absolutely...
This is the relevant point to the men v women argument ........ Women's football is just not the same game, and that I feel is why it struggles to attract interest.
It may well have occasional high levels of skill and excitement within the context of Women's football, but the product is not the...
I'm sorry to have to confirm, but as others have already stated, it would appear you might well have been the victim of a scam?
I've just returned from Turkey.
We applied for our visas on-line only 3 weeks ago, and I'm confident the rules have not changed in the subsequent 3 weeks.
No bank...
