Absolutely, and not just "I want to leave Brighton & Hove Albion if I'm no longer going to be starting regularly" but, "I want to leave Brighton & Hove Albion if I'm no longer going to be starting regularly, and I've got a sensational offer from one of Europe's historic clubs on the table...
Without weighing in too heavily on such a sensitive subject. Why do we think the average female is in goal for Sutton Ladies?
Look at any elite sport, male or female, and you'll find that those selected are far from the physical average. Do we really think the average bloke could stop 7'4...
Worth adding, if we're entering pedantry on the Pedro thing, that the average throw-in stoppage is between 7-15 seconds. I counted 12 seconds between Pedro kicking the ball and the play restarting. Hard to argue it's delaying the restart in a multiball system.
Agree. I say it tentatively, but at least for our games so far, the standard of refereeing has been a marked improvement so far. I do fear that this may always happen and it's all downhill from here.
Now for the negative. Assistant referees have been dreadful so far. I know they're hamstrung...
Probably a lot of the first, a fair share of the second, and a little of the third.
Raya had a top game. The speed in which he gets back up from the first dive is brilliant and means that whilst the shot isn’t perfect, he ends covering a remarkable amount of the goal by the time he saves it...
We got battered in that first half and did well to keep it to one.
Got a bit of luck in Rice forgetting that he’s actually quite vital to how Arsenal play and doing one of the most bizarrely stupid things I’ve seen on a football pitch but we really upped our game after that. Arsenal defended...
I’ve come on here plenty to rip through a referee’s performance but Kavanagh had a great game yesterday. Got almost everything right, and was remarkably consistent in his decisions throughout the game, for both sides.
A really tough game to referee and to the dismay of the plastic surgery...
"We'll pay you the full £80m we were going to spend on Osimhen BUT it'll be structured as an 8 year loan with each yearly instalment of £10m paid in the form of a small hotel owned by a separate company. Some years he may also go on loan to Strasbourg if we have a new manager who doesn't fancy him."
Great move for WBG. Sad to see him leave, was superb last season and showed once again, how brilliant he is last Saturday.
No point in standing in the way of a move he very clearly desires because we have a player out for a suggested 6-8 weeks when there is good money on the table. He'll be...
I agree with almost all of this but I do wonder if, as some have implied this will be a development/academy role, there are better coaches out there than him at this level.
You're looking at someone who has been part of an elite, Champions League level coaching staff, has experience playing at...
Of course you can argue that list shows the potential need for an experienced LB. And of course, we could totally pull it off.
BUT would we really rip up our wage structure (especially after all the bluster over RDZ and the structure) to get someone who will be cover at LB over the course of...
Enough time has passed. Chelsea cast a damaging first blow by stealing all of our players and coaching staff and Bruno stung the worst. I think what has happened for us and the club in the interim period sort of shows that we won the war.
He'd be welcomed back with open arms by me. Has given...
I'm sure your memory is fine! It just sounds like at the time, we were (comparative to other sides) financially poor, so there wasn't an expectation that we weren't getting our money's worth.
I'd argue that it would probably be similar today at the Albion - a few grumbles about Dahoud and...
