I often think back to the BBC's half-time coverage of Hughton's Albion v Man City FA Cup semi at Wembley (which I saw next-day).
Lineker, scoffing: "Cor, you wouldn't want to play up front in that team, eh Alan?"
We've come a long way, baby.
Yeah, I think folk need to understand that it's not aimed at folk who go - or could realistically go - to live matches.
I mean, Abba's giant screen Voyage thing is not "as good" as seeing them live... but that's not really the point is it?
I reckon they'll move the camera back 20 or so rows in the future... with only approved fans (actors) allowed in front of it.
Imagine these all over the world. Crazy revenue potential.
It's an experience. Aimed at those who will never get to the stadium (make your own jokes about Man United fans).
Anyone who wants to watch on traditional TV can do that too.
Imagine shouting “Not funny” at a gig.
Deserved everything they got imo*.
* Except the lame Jewish trope/quip at then end. Sorry, hadn’t seen that bit. But, seriously, they could/should have walked out with saying anything.
