I do have a job, a very enjoyable part time one and have had since I retired nearly 15 years ago thanks
If you continually abuse people for no reason, don't be surprised if they stop trying to help you
:bigwave:
Charmed, I'm sure. Could you not find other work that wasn't physical that would allowed you to work part time, either in France or here, depending on where you chose to live ?
I know a lot of people who have changed career completely to spend their later years working part time.
It would have to go some to be as dirty and seedy as when I worked there 40 years ago
I always remember arriving home at Brighton Station early on a Sunday morning back mid/late 70s having spent two weeks in the Mediterranean. Christ that was grim
If you really have to ask the question, then you're not old enough to remember the answer
Try doubling the timescale and it becomes even more obvious :dunce:
It's said with affection, just the same as the things I say about Portslade, Scoomers, Lewes, 'East Brighton :lolol:', Patcham wife swappers, Mile Oak, Newhaven, Southwick, Hove actually, Hollingdean etc etc
Obviously, with the exception of Crawley who are really complet f***ing animals

I think there was an element of this, as when RDZ first arrived he talked about how impressed he was with the recruitment model and let his own recruitment expert go back to Italy within months.
I wonder if, after his initial success, he thought that he was contributing more than the 'process'...
I don't think you can appreciate the level of frustration, helplessness and anger that must build up when you have to keep the fact you're a principled, non conformist rebel under wraps and pretend you're something else entirely for hours and hours every day for years on end ???
Well I doubt the last Government would have done this
Five years ago she was on the verge of being deported after attending what she thought was a routine signing-on process to let authorities know she was still in the country.
Ngamba was arrested, along with her brother Kennet, and sent from...
Very good article
I know that we weren't recording any arrivals or departures in the UK a few years back which was why, although we weren't in Schengen, Britain decided unilaterally to allow completely free movement by not recording anyone, (and nothing has been put in place since)...
