I read Lol's book a while back and I think he first met RS when they both lived in Horley, before the latter moved with his parents to Crawley. They got a fair few twattings when they were younger on account of looking 'a bit different!'
:lolol:
God no! They were ok but nothing special.
Back on track with RS, The Glove did a couple of decent songs (Punish Me With Kisses and Like An Animal).
I think Robert Smith and Lol Tolhurst were born and initially brought up in Horley although Smith's family moved to Crawley, so technically, their roots are in Surrey. But still a bloody fine band, perhaps the best from the Sussex/Surrey border?

One of the over-riding memories of the initial trial, was the Acourt's leaving court gobbling at all & sundry! Not pleasant!
