Who knows? I think it's amazing in these days when refereeing decisions are examined to the nth degree, how long a game actually lasts often seems to be completely random.

I'm hoping the Mail and senior Tories rounding on Farage over his support for Putin will deter some of the thickos for voting for Reform, but I'm not holding out much hope.

The reason I despise VAR. Always looking for a technical reason to disallow a goal. We want goals. Goals are why we watch football. The benefit of the doubt should always go to the attacking side.

Find myself increasingly 'meh' about watching neutral matches on TV (although the Euros have been quite fun so far - well, apart from a certain nation..). It's a very different story with the mighty BHA though, where I'm kicking every ball... I don't think the way matches are broadcast on TV...

The point being made is that it would only be reviewed by VAR if it was clear and obvious, which is what it was meant to be for.

I guess that's true - perhaps Potter wouldn't be able to install his ideas so easily. I still think he'd do a better job than GS though.
