João Pedro Junqueira de Jesus (born 26 September 2001), also known as João Pedro, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion and the Brazil national team.
There was a competition called the Dryborough Cup in Scotland in the 1970s that experimented with a variation of the offside rule. The 18 yard line was extended to the touchlines and you could only be offside within that area. Could be workable if reintroduced?
Quite enjoying The Accident a Mexican 10-parter about a kids birthday party that goes tragically wrong. Has to be said it has a distinctly soap opera element to it. I'm only 4 episodes in, and with most of the issues seemingly resolved, part of the fun will be seeing how they manage to spin it...
I think most people take away fond memories of Brighton. Quite a number of times when I've been checking into hotels abroad, the receptionist has got quite animated when they've seen 'Brighton' on my registration form. Invariably they've done a language course or an exchange visit here...
From a pedestrian's point of view, central Brighton is getting immeasurably better. Valley Gardens is a wonderful addition. And everywhere you look, from Western Road to London Road, the private car's dominance is being eroded in favour of improved facilities, better crossings, wider pavements...
The new shops are mainly nice-looking Asian foodshops and snack bars, presumably positioned on that side of the road to catch the eye of the students coming into London Road from the big student complex in Baker Street
Really needs splitting in two. Part One to conclude with the team walking out at the Amex for the first time. That's a logical break point in the story. Part Two they can - and probably will - fanny about with for as long as they like until they rush-release it sometime in the 2030's 😄
