[Albion] Deniz Undav **Gone To Stuttgart 09/08/24**

I’m sceptical. If what is reported in this tweet was true, then there’s no way that we’d have turned down that 25m offered.

[Albion] Pascal Groß the raumdeuter - officially leaves for Dortmund :(

Nah, I meant that it was Murray’s second in the 2-1 win at home to Arse back in March 2018 that actually got us over the line as far as points needed to be 17th were concerned. The following year, it would’ve been a Palace player - don’t ask me who - that scored the winner to give them a 3-2...

[Albion] Pascal Groß the raumdeuter - officially leaves for Dortmund :(

Pedantic point: Murray’s second against Arse got us over the required-points line that season, if my statto memory is correct.

[Other Sport] Paris 2024 Olympics & Paralympics ***Official Match Thread***

I’ve seen 2 out of the 3 and have been perplexed by both, particularly tonight’s. Thought Orie won all 3 rounds. The GB boxing team don’t seem to be making any public complaints though. Is that them just being very gracious losers or my low-level understanding of boxing?

[News] Has anyone got any GOOD news?

If the sea was made of milk then we’d have no need for dairy cows with a significant benefit to the environment.

    [Other Sport] Swimmer's Ear

Isn’t that what they do when you have a build up of ear wax? I had my ears syringed when I was about 9-10 years old and the amount that came out was something else. Was an amazing feeling to suddenly be able to hear clearly again after such a gradual long-term buildup of wax in both ears. I...

I watched the female final yesterday, and they were all children. Literally, the oldest girl looked about 16. I hope they keep the Dutch beach volleyball team well away from them in the village.

[Other Sport] Paris 2024 Olympics & Paralympics ***Official Match Thread***

I was watching it as well, and it really IS a sport, albeit subject to judges opinions. Have you not seen how stacked all these blokes are?!! Thought the TV coverages was a bit ropey though. There were a couple of occasions where the BBC team were reduced to giving audio descriptions of the...

    [Other Sport] Swimmer's Ear

I thought swimmers ear was when you got water trapped in the ear canal. I’ve had that a few times, but decongestants and holding the nose and blowing have always seemed to sort it. 6 days on amoxy sounds nasty!

That sounds like the most well-deserved gold medal so far! To win an Olympic gold, even with such a handicap, is outstanding.

Maybe there's been a sniff from elsewhere and we're just driving up the price?

    [Albion] Diego Gomez

I was certainly aware that personal insurance existed for pro sports people that presumably covered a few years' of lost wages. It's a different magnitude of payout to cover the loss of an asset potentially valued at 10s of millions. Career-ending injuries or conditions are common enough that...

    [Albion] Diego Gomez

Is there such a thing as insurance against players getting injured? Insurance is generally for something that’s unlikely to happen, but if it did then you’d not be able to pay for it yourself. Given how common long-term or even career ending injuries are, I’d have thought that the clubs would...

[Other Sport] Sack or hauled over the coals? You decide……..(not really as decision already made)

Over reaction to a light-hearted comment like this just gives fuel to anti-woke wankers like Farage and Anderson. It’ll do the progressive agenda far more harm than good.

    [Albion] Sarmiento

I can’t see him in the squad next year if, being 22, he’s now old enough to take one of the 25 spots, or does the fact that was still 21 on 1st Jan 2024 mean he’s still classed as U21? My reasoning is that he didn’tbecome a starter at either of his Championship loans, and in the end got fewer...

[Albion] Who do you think is going to be your favourite Albion player this season?

I love a bit of flair and pace, so Minteh for me.

[Albion] Facundo Buonanotte **On Loan To Leicester 10/08/24**

Loan is definitely realistic, and a good idea for a clearly talented 19 year old. No chance we’re including a buy option though. It’s just not our MO for such a young player, especially who’s only been with us 18 months.

[Albion] Alexander Bah - right back

Can someone start a separate thread? There's about half a dozen posts on the actual player and transfer and 7 pages of sheep puns. When I saw it was an 8-page thread after only 24 hours, I assumed that this rumour had legs (of Lamb) - of FFS I'm at it now.

    [Albion] 20 years!

Yes it was. Before the NSC forum, there was a guestbook for the site that had loads of supportive messages from other fans about our plight and also served as a general discussion forum for BHA fans, and that was where Richard Vaughan came up with the suggestion for Fans Utd. The guy that...

    [Albion] 20 years!

I think the earliest you can be a user on the current iteration is sometime in 2003. I was however a user on the first day of the first NSC back in early 1997, a fact that I am quite proud of and will never tire of telling people on here!
