By steep he was probably referring to the £29.50 for a 14 year old!

If you ask them how old they are now, and work it back, it will confirm whether their 60th was last year or the year before. Just trying to help.

Actually, in all seriousness, there has been a spate of that in the city recently. Always good advice to park somewhere decent, especially on a match day when they know you are gone for a few hours.

Decent chance you’ll get your car stripped too if you are driving, so that could add to the overall character building experience.

My cousin is married to a best selling writer /author who has sold north of 30m books. I found out recently that I am also distantly related (we have to go back a short while) to a current Olympic gold medallist, same surname too, so I mention it all the time!! I have met her parents a...

Great - thanks for the tips and yes, I’ll try and get to a few. Been to both for the cricket but the Marvel was always 3 parts empty then so would be good to see it full. Really looking forward to it!

Now that the AFL fixtures are out, I was working out which of these to go to that are on while I’m there in July and August - any recommendations? Hawthorn v Carlton looked a good one. Round 20 (Thursday July 24 to Sunday July 27) Essendon vs. Western Bulldogs Marvel Stadium Hawthorn vs...

You are being unfair. They got a lot of stick from their own fans for their Champions League ticket pricing, and have clearly had a good long think about how to make this fairer, and that 50p discount is clearly the result!

    [Football] England v Ireland

I don’t condone England fans booing other anthems either. That should have been very clear in my post, not sure where the righteous indignation was. But the vitriol towards the England anthem in Dublin (I had more 2 finger salutes than I could have imagined) and at Wembley, the booing of our...

    [Football] England v Ireland

I had a great weekend of sport - went to Twickenham on Saturday and Wembley on Sunday. Whereas on Saturday the second half was dreadfully disappointing, the opposite was true on Sunday. I didn’t see any trouble or issues at either, which was good. I enjoyed both occasions though I didn’t care...

    [Albion] Demand for away tickets

Yet in other countries, Spain being a good example, the away allocations are minuscule. I went to the Seville derby at Real Betis with 60,000 in. I reckon there were under 1,000 in the away fans section. It seems to be similar even at the Classico. One thing that is different there is that you...

No, they went just after midnight, so were probably on there a couple of hours max.

I’ve just put 2 tickets on Twickets for Friday night, November 15 if anyone is interested. They are the lowest price band, so I think it’s about £29 each. Twickets add a small fee on as well. I have too busy a day now to be able to go, though might reconsider if they don’t sell…….
