    [NSC] Joke Du Jour

Sorry, but that joke does not work. The premise of the joke is that people pronounce the names incorrectly whereas your reply, in order to facilitate the humour, involves pronouncing the name correctly. It's not a joke about people not liking abbreviated replies. I am also out.

[Travel] Niagara flying in and out of Toronto

I drove from Toronto to Niagara a few years ago and it was a painful journey though i think travelling over thanksgiving was a mistake (i was unaware). TBH i was thoroughly underwhelmed by Niagara Falls or more the Americanised carnival that surrounds it. Had I not already arrived later than...

[Football] Euros 2024 - Round of 16 (England vs Slovakia & Spain vs Georgia)

I'll give the dull, but correct, answer. It's the age at which his grandfather, who was a huge figure in his childhood, died.

Context, my friend, context. Chapeau' translates as 'hat' but it means far more. Used to indicate respect for a fellow cyclist's efforts, achievement or endeavour @Weststander not that I'm a cyclist...(y)

[Misc] Who taps us on the shoulder and says "time you stopped driving old fruit"?

Do you know how long the wait time is to get a test now? And the ludicrous system they use which means the rest allocated to you might be in Humberside (as my daughters was) - once yiu have a test assigned you then have to cancel it and hope someone does the same fir a test local to you that you...

[Misc] Who taps us on the shoulder and says "time you stopped driving old fruit"?

I took my mum's car keys away and declared it SORN. Her car looked like a bumper car (and had £1300 worth of bodywork repair shortly before I took action) and I was getting complaints from residents in her village.

    [Misc] Wasp sting pain

Fair question. I was stung multiple times in one year when I had a wasps nest in the wall cavity next to my bedroom (I was about 10). By the end of that summer stings no longer hurt. The fearlessness you have when you believe yourself to be immune means that I have only been stung once in the 40...

    [Music] Taylor Swift at Wembley?

2 of my daughters went to the Cardiff show on Monday. They loved it. Sure all those going to Wembley will too. Even if it's not your thing, it's one hell of an occasion.
