There has been a gradual rise of opponent difficulty throughout this tournament from Slovenia to Slovakia; Switzerland to The Netherlands. The latter will be the toughest opponent we've faced so far - I'll be surprised if we win today.
I’m quite excited for this match, I predict that excitement will turn into frustration and disappointment once the whistle is blown, but I’ll keep this current positivity while it lasts.
It’s fairly clear that Verbruggen will be our future number one. If Jason wants to resign to that second choice role, playing a handful of matches next season, then that is fine with me. However, I would actually prefer him to leave and move onto better things; then a younger keeper can move up...
Six. Current focus is on the EUROs but once that has come to an end, the Albion anticipation can begin. I don’t know what will happen next season, new faces are arriving but stalwarts are departing. However one thing’s for sure, it will be another rollercoaster of emotions 😅
Netherlands is the first team we have faced in this competition which I would consider to be of a similar quality to England. That said, I would be surprised if England won against them.
