    [News] Nigel Farage and Reform

I think Brexit was the result of " Racism Lite " . The ills of the country were blamed on Polish plumbers, Romanian fruit pickers and Portuguese waiting staff etc etc. Leaving the EU would get rid of all the foreigners that were undercutting our wages while living the high life on benefits. When...

    [News] Nigel Farage and Reform

It is very much as you say. But, sadly, I think people who are racist can give vent now thanks to the bile and hatred started by Pritti Patel, amplified by Braverman and repeated by Farage. Recently we had new near neighbours move in and while talking to Mrs V came up with the classic..." We're...

[Football] Clive Tyldesley axed by ITV after 28 years

Not a fan of Matterface, if there is an early kick off on Saturdays it's always Talkshite and him... ruins my day...the BBC equivalent is John Murray, who overhypes EVERY attempt at a goal in his nasal whine.

    [Cricket] T20 World Cup 2024

Looks like Cricket isn't going to ge the winner here either way...if rained off India are through, if the overs are reduced due to lost time it favours England on D/L...should have been a reserve day on order to get a game of 20 overs each.

[Help] Calling RAC without using an app.

Thanks, was with the RAC until my cover went up by 40% in a year. Now with the AA for £140 for the first year...when it goes up I will swap to AXA my insurers for breakdown cover.

    [Cricket] T20 World Cup 2024

They started badly, were behind the rate when I posted but, then rapidly upped the scoring by taking chances. It was the right thing to do, they kept pace til the wickets started falling. One or two low scoring overs and the job becomes very difficult. India only had to come up with one or two...

Always easy to dislike a team containing Warner.....looks like a tough score now, Convicts needed 10 an over from the off and they are already off the pace.

    [Football] Watching after England exit

Always enjoyable watching two teams going head to head in the knockouts. Supporting England though is to be endured rather than enjoyed. There are so many ways we can ( and usually ) f*** up, so, just not a great watch until the final whistle if we progress or, facing the slow erosion of hope...

[Football] Do you want Scotland to progress?

I have no problem with Scotland progressing. If they do it will down to merit, which is more than can be said for England's team of zombies staggering in to the next round.

[Misc] Has anyone used temu or Ali express?

Until the majority of people in work get a decent wage this stuff will keep flooding in. Most of the stuff in the shops comes from China, India, Vietnam or Cambodia in order to maximise store profits Anyway, going Temu/Ali Express merely undercuts the price and a bit of quality.
